Good luck to all of you who have to work tonight. New Years can be hectic. :D

And may the new year bring many more stupid guests so that we can entertain each other.

I remember my first New Years Eve. I was scheduled an opening shift at Mansion(730-1600) and near the middle of my shift, scheduling called and asked if I would work OT at Indy. I had nobody to spend it with so I agreed and worked Indy from 1600 when I was off at mansion to end up being a closer on Indy at 0400. It was awesome. And I was suppose to be back at 900am that morning :hammer: . Needless to say I called in. But it was a really fun day/night.

Everyone be safe tonight and Happy New Year

Oh gosh everyone - Happy New Year!!! And may I wish those of you stuck working tonight a lot of patience, warmth, fun and understanding supervision

and to those of you who must find "creative" ways to deal with all the passholes out there (and you passholes know who you are - and aren't!), may a blind/benign eye be turned towards your solutions 8)

I was sad they didn't give US horns this year to blow back into the guests ears. I rubber banded 4 of them together last year and had a grand old time in my toll booth.

And.. in relation..

Wasn't today (Jan 1) supposed to be a SLOW day at the park? It was packed.. and the guests were GRUMPY. They managed to slowly piss me off to the point of needing a cig.. and I don't smoke.

Oh man i hear you on that one. The worst is when they take off the cardboard cone on the end and get about 5 of them to blow them in unison at the steam train passing by. :bang:

working NYE and NYD was actually... fun. Meh, I think that when you're as sleep deprived as I've been lately, any time you show up to work and they offer you something with sugar in it, it becomes fun... worked 8 hours NYE but had to hang around waiting for another hour to wait for my ride... we WERE supposed to be off the same time, but then they actually decided to ER me  so I finally went home, got about 3 hours of sleep, and went back to work another one of those 12 hour shifts that I've become so familiar with this week.

~hangs head in shame for doing that last year~

I had a better one. The guy next to me last year took one of those HUGE rubber parking cones.. put the horn thingy into it.. and had the loudest noise maker in the whole lot. MUCH louder then even 5 of them by themselves. Think giant elephant. :!:
