This weekend (July 12th) a Pensacola family of 14 is coming to visit Mickey at Disney World courtesy of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central and Northern Florida. Four-year-old John Brown has tracheoesophageal fistula, which causes severe respiratory and swallowing problems. He'll be meeting Mickey Mouse along with his foster parents, who have adopted three other children with medical needs. They also have two other foster children, as well as six grown children from previous marriages. The entire family except for one son with cerebral palsy will be spending Saturday through Wednesday in Orlando.
Little John is one of the cutest kids you can imagine and just loves everyone, but especially Mickey Mouse. His foster parents, Merrie and David Schwartz, are in the process of adopting John. They are amazing people who have fostered many children over the years and all the children they care for have medical needs.
I hope they have a wonderful time at Walt Disney World. And thanks in advance to all you CMs who will be making magical memories for an extraordinary family.
