Let Sleeping Guests Lie, for Goodness Sake

I think this is the most heinous SG I've seen in my time at the DLR.
We had an elderly female guest who was taking a little nap in our back seating area, while her family went to ride Space Mountain. Perfectly fine, right? I mean, given the heat (this was in the mid afternoon), I wouldn't have minded a little naptime myself, lol.
Along come a group of SG teens who proceed to torment the poor women. They're poking her, posing for pictures with her asleep (fairly sound sleeper, she was), and generally making a******* out of themselves.
We tell them to leave her alone, but as soon as we turned our backs they went back to their new "Attraction". So we call Security. Lo and behold they come at the same time her family returns from riding.
Little old lady and her family end up being hooked up with Re-admits so that they can enjoy the rest of the day in their park despite the incident. While SGs end up yelled at, apparently having their camera snapped in half (not sure, but I heard a crack and saw the lady's son or grandson waving something in the air), and being thrown out of the park.
Don't you just love when justice works out like it's supposed too? :D:
(sorry if parts of this post seem weird, it's been a long day, and the incident was shocking enough that I'm having problems describing it)

That's sick. Need to bring in Tufani and tell him they're buzzards.
I've actually seen him punt a buzzard when he got tired of chasing them. Took his trunk and the buzzard went flying before it realized what had happened.

The only thing that would have made this incident better would be Granny waking up and turning out to be a blackbelt who puts the smackdown on a few punks. Kinda like the one in the Clint Eastwood movie who plays catch up with her shotgun on a motorcycle gang.

Many kids these days just are not taugh manners by their parents. If I did something like that I would have recieved a beating and my parents would have left me in the room rest of the trip. My GF's son has respect for other people and would never have even thought of doing something like that, in fact he may have gone over to make sure she was OK and just napping. Glad to hear they were ejected from the park, serves them right.
I recently saw a video of some kids flushing a bar of soap down the toilet of one of the resorts, they are at WDw and the most entertaining thing they can find to do is flush bars of soap down a toilet.
I have often wondered what CM's are instructed to do with sleeping guests, I have been known to catch a short nap at a park now and then. I like the train the best for a nap, spent about an hour napping in the opera house at DL one day. Do you wake them up? or just let them sleep? if they are there too long to you check to make sure they are OK?

my husband likes to nap in INnovations at Epcot or in front with the lego man in downtown disney. Just sit him down and he is asleep.

Generally, we just let them sleep. Of course, if they're in a position that might endager themselves (for example, they're fast asleep on a bench in the open sun on a humid 103F day) or if they're interfering in operations in a way that's poses a danger to those around them, we might check to see if they're all right and if they want to move somewhere more comfortable.
After all, you've paid lots of your hard earned money to come into the park. As long as your not interfering in our normal operations, I don't see why we should interfere if you want to take a nap.

Hell, Donnie can fall asleep in the middle of a sentence. LOL His favorite spot is COP. When we went in 2005, Meghyn was only 2.5 yrs and started fussing in American Adventure 5 minutes into it, so I took her out (I made sure to get the end of a row by the exit just in case). I told him to let me know how it was since I had never seen it. Well, her and I waited, and waited and waited, and waited outside till it was done. Then everyone starts filing out. OK, no Donnie????? Moseying out with the CM's closing the doors comes Donnie. "So, how was it?" His reply....I dont know, I fell asleep right after you left. *smacks head. Dude I just spent 30+ minutes outside in the heat trying to keep a toddler entertained and you had a good nap in the AC. GOOD LORD! LOL

With the graying of the population the parks should consider adding some quiet, shady spots to catch forty winks. I know I could use one occasionally.
