Read about this earlier, gotta comment.

Busch give samples of its products at its parks, Moslum's dont drink, find it offensive.

Read about a 15 year old boy kidnapped and raped there, heres a link to the site, its in french, english site was down http://www.boycottdubai.com/
the changed the URL heres the english site http://www.boycottdubai.com/index_new_E.php
they threatened to arrest the boy for "homosexual behavior" very backwards thinking towards a victem of a vicious crime. If a womans raped shes commiting adultry.

125 degrees, no thanks

region is prone to war historically.

The People in the region are often easily offended.

They hate Americans.

Hopefully Disney has decieded its NOT the place for them. I know they are looking at other places in Asia, Shanghi I believe so lets hope they dont put parks in Dubai.

With everyone jumping on the band wagon it goes beyond the symbiotic relationship the major theme park companies have in Florida to over the top competition. Whos bigger, badder, better, gotta spend way too much money to compete.

Travel to the middle east isnt going to be cheap, unless you enlist.

Long, long flight. (soon to be ex brother in law is from the region)

Did I mention they hate Americans in the middle east.

I really hope the Walt Disney Company has evaluated Dubai and decieded its not the place for them, if they are considering it I would like to encourage them to forget Dubai. Anyone know Bob Eigers address or email Ill write him a letter about it.

Steve

Seems on the rape case the victems mother has removed hte original story and updated it to the outcome of the case.

Rumor is that it's a pretty over-the-top touristy area for the people of that region...there is even an indoor ski dome under construction: (I didn't believe it either until I saw it.) http://www.skidubai.com/dubai/mountain-ski-dome/

That being said, I won't be submitting a job application.

I saw the ski dome on a cable show, big buildings or something like that, its hugh. But in my opinion, the area is to vollitile, companies spending billions of $$$$ where the main religion is extreamist in many cases and racism is rampet.

my friend was in Kuwait and the lower classes of men treat their horses like objects. no grass, nothing, the horses she rode were malnourished, it was nothing to kill a disabled animal, only studs got good care. horrible.

Women were made to wear full covering, could not be in charge of men, and had no say in anything. And yes they can be perverts like any culture but crimes are rarely reported. The only acceptable sexual relations is between a husband and wife. Premarital sex and any sex with a person other your spouse is forbidden. Homosexuals live in fear of being outted.

It is a wonderful rich place that is like the finest hotels and wonderful to visit but not if you are a nonarabian, female, homosexual or involved in sex with anyone other than your spouse, nonMuslim, disabled, etc.

I would not plan a trip there. I got WDW, NYC, Paris and a thousand places I would rather go.

I'm with you Churchy, I dont think I would go if someone paid my way. Floridia is too nice and always on top of my list. I would try Tokyo, Paris and Hong Kong before the middle east. (see a pattern here?)

I rather ride the dog fart coaster 12 times in a row than go to a country where people hate me because of my gender, race, and religion.

The one thing Busch has going for them on this is they are licensing the brand and not owning. Like Tokyo DL, they get paid no matter what and dont have to put out the money to build, insure or operate the facilities.

True, but they will still get the bad publicity if there is an incident that ends in violent deaths.

If someone dies at Tokyo Sea then they died at a DISNEY PARK. People do not read contracts and other info to show that Disney is not responsible.
