Aren't there any decent apartment complexes near WDW?

I've been trying to search for apartments in the WDW area for when I move down there. The problem is that it is hard to get places like Rent.com to narrow searches to just that area and also a number of the places I have found have bad reviews. The reviews might not be accurate though but I have no way of telling for sure. I just checked the reviews for my current complex and it has a bunch of negative reviews, some of which I know aren't true.

I just want a decent one bedroom apartment that is quiet, comfortable and decently priced. I also want it convenient to WDW so I won't have to go a long ways to work or play each day. Is that to much to ask?

Anybody have any suggestions? A CM discount would be a plus. I have a place I can stay while getting on my feet but the sooner I am able to get my own place the better.

I will check with a friend of mine for you. He lives in Orlando in a one bedroom apt alone. He may have some suggestions.

Thank you. There are lots of complexes in the Orlando area but a number of them are on the other side of Orlando from WDW and are thus over 40 minutes away sometimes.

Not to highjack your thread Shorty but if everyone could please keep their ears open for a decent cheap rental home (not apartment--I cant stand being conected to others) with a yard in a halfway decent neighborhood. Yeah I know a lot to ask for. This is for us, for about a year and 1/2 from now, I would appreciate it. I think I am wearing Donnie down about moving south...HEHEHE

Have you considered renting a garage apartment in Celebration? There are tons available, and it's better than being in a complex.

Not a problem. A house be nice but I don't think I can afford one right now.

Any information on those? I don't know what is available in the area. I saw something about Celebration but it was for condos and townhomes only, both way out of what I can afford.

I live in Camden World Gateway off of I-Drive South. I am right by that hideous Nickelodeon hotel. I am about 5 minutes from DTD and Epcot so it is REALLY convenient for me. It is gated, well-kept, and has plenty of amenities including valet garbage, pool, fitness center, business center, and 24 hour maint. If you want more info try http://www.camdenliving.com

Good Luck!!!

I live in the Legacy Dunes complex off US-192, west of WDW. They rent 1, 2, 3, and 4 bedroom apartments. The management company needs to be nagged a little bit to get stuff done, but that's true with any apartment complex.

I also may have a friend looking for a roommate. Not sure what your timeline is for moving down here, but if they need someone, it'd most likely be an ASAP type deal ... PM me if you're interested.

Looks like a nice place but I'm afraid it'll cost more than I can afford. I couldn't get World Gateway to give me an estimated rent for a 1 bed, 1 bath apt but I was able to for Hunter's Creek, another Camden property down the road, and it is to expensive.

IIRC, I checked that place one time before at your suggestion and I asked you how you could afford it on a seasonal CM's pay but you never responded. It's rent seems a little high to be within a CM's budget, especially a seasonal one. I also asked what you did with the place for the times of the year you are at school or otherwise out of the area.

There are a lot of garage apartments advertised on our intranet. PM me your email addy and I can send them to you, as only residents can actually log onto the internet.
