Saturday night I was working at Epcot. On one trip I had two ladies in the front cab.The one was a visitor from up north and it was her first time @ WDW. The other was a regular visitor. The 1st lady said she was a bus driver and she thought she would like to drive the monorail. I told her we always needed drivers. The 2nd lady told her ..anyone can just drive these because they are all automated. I told her that we actually did drive them and she told me that she had been on the monrails hundreds of times and most of the time there were no drivers on board.

I just stared at her and told her that that wasn't possible. She got a little annoyed at me, and told her friend that she would show her a train later that was automated. Hey good luck on that one..

They probably rode in one of the other cars on their next ride, and SG said, "See, I told you they were automated - no driver!" :p:
Sounds like Regular Visitor is really a Stupid Guest!

Well the shuttles at the Airport are fully automated. But then each has its own track with no other traffic on it.

Sure, she can.
Take Epcot Center Dr to I4N, get off at SR528 and head east. Get off at Airport Blvd/Semoran Blvd. Park in the garage, and enter airport terminal. Get on
automated train. THEN get on a plane and leave. :p:

Heh -- we always get in the front cab so our boys (or their stuffed friends) can "drive" the trams!

That is sad. I can tell you from experience that it is really driven. See: Overspeed.

Yeah, you should have gotten an overspeed so she could prove her point.

Or stopped, gotten out of the seat and start tapping your foot and looking at your watch and then ask out loud when the darn thing would start moving again, then go "oh yeah, as soon as I sit down and MAKE IT GO!"
