Re: I hate the 2fer with the fire of 10000 suns.
What kills me is that there are 2 versions of the 2fer.
Buy a single day, single park ticket for $66 and get the other park free within 30 days, OR..
Buy a one day park hopper at $91, get a 2nd day for free within 30 days..
So we get the clueless ones.... And the winners of the SG lottery are the ones that think we can't tell what park they went to on their first day, or the ones that don't think we can count to 30 to know that their ticket is expired....
It's fun trying to explain the "So Cal special offers" to the idiots at the window.
"What are the So Cal Special Offers?" says SG
"Well, we currently have the 2fer" says the CM. "You can either go to one park today for $66 and have 30 days to come back and go to the OTHER park for free, OR you can go to both parks today for $91, and come back within 30 days and do both parks again for free."
"That's not a special" says the SG.

I think that YEARS ago, you could use a pass bought at Albertson's to visit both DL and DCA adventure and that we were able to go visit DCA, done with that by mid-afternoon, then spent the rest of the day at Disneyland. But Yeah, if you are buying one now, LEARN the terms of the pass before you buy

Dont get me started on the so-called "experienced" TA's from AAA that actually told me I couldnt do something that I did in Sept.
"you cant do this, I have been a Disney specialist for 24 yrs and they changed the tickets a a year or so ago"
REALLY????Interesting since I DID do this just 4 months ago. so when was the last time you were actually there? Oh and by the way the Magic Your way tickets went into effect the first week of Jan 05
"ummmmm..." QUICK change the subject.
:D: I like being right.
Back to the OT sort of...Since they are running the special for WDW for FL residents (the 4-day deal) I have to call Donnie's very stubborn Dad and talk him into getting one so he can join us if we come down in March.
????????? Are there any blackout days on that deal??????????????
His claim is he can get better deals but doesnt believe me when I tell him there is something better then what he can get thru ?wherever? he goes to.
Now I know where Donnie gets the stubborns from.
Thanks Chessy for posting the info on it via "evil board X"

Here is the deal:
Florida residents are being given a chance to buy four-day Walt Disney World passes for $125, more than 20 percent off the regular price for Disney's Play 4 Days Pass. Under the deal, announced late Thursday, during January and February, Floridians can purchase a Play 4 Days Pass for $125 plus tax (the pass costs $105 plus tax for children ages 3-9). Then, for six months from first use, they can visit a Disney theme park on any four days. On each day of use, the guest can choose to visit either Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney's Animal Kingdom or Disney's Hollywood Studios. The special price is available through Feb. 29. Thereafter, the Florida Resident Play 4 Days Pass will be $159.
The six-month clock doesn't start until the pass is used for the first time, so if someone wants to wait until the autumn and use it four times during the Epcot International Food & WIne Festival, or even wait for the next set of Christmas-season events, that's OK, said spokesman Rick Sylvain. There are no blackout dates.
The Disney Play 4 Days Pass is available for purchase by calling 407/WDW-4DAYS (939-4329). Florida Resident tickets are also available at Walt Disney World theme park ticket windows and Resort hotel locations, Florida AAA offices and Florida Disney Stores. Proof of Florida residency is required.

Hey, don't feel bad about that! I was at the AAA office taking care of some other business, and the Disney TA was open, so I stopped by and started asking some questions. The amount of mis-information or pricing was really bad. DW and I have been AP holders at DLR for many years, and the TA was saying that they were a bad deal. (she didn't know I had them) She was telling me that I would be paying for tickets that I would never use (??) and that buying a two or three day deal (through them of course) was much better.vixen101485 wrote:Dont get me started on the so-called "experienced" TA's from AAA that actually told me I couldnt do something that I did in Sept.

When I asked about packages at WDW, she came up with a package at the Poly that was close to what I wanted, but seemed way more expensive.

That seems easy enough to understand. Of course I'm not an SG (or atleast I think I'm not?).GuestJockey wrote:It's a deal for SoCal residents where you pay full price for a one day, one park ticket, and you get to go to the OTHER park on a DIFFERENT day within 30 days of your visit to the first park for free. Re: I hate the 2fer with the fire of 10000 suns.
Sounds like it could create a LOT of problems and turn more people into SGs who think they could *get away* with trying to use it for DL twice or use it AFTER the 30 days and then complain and whine that they *did not know the rules* of it. Sheesh. Just more problems for the Ticket and Gate people as well as City Hall where they will come to complain about how unfair it is, even though they bought the damn thing!!!! :(GuestJockey wrote:It's a deal for SoCal residents where you pay full price for a one day, one park ticket, and you get to go to the OTHER park on a DIFFERENT day within 30 days of your visit to the first park for free. I am sorry you have to deal with that as well as all the rest of the problems you have.
