Stupid Guest Tricks

Three's Company was and still is my favorite tv show of all time so in honor of John Ritter I thought I'd share some of the great falls I've taken in my tenior at the Disneyland Resort. (I've already written one in the breakroom under "What does your costume remind you of?"

The second time I fell in the track at Space I was at Bars and was minding my own business, again on the auot-pilot mode, and I was walking just between the 2 rockets at Dispatch and Ready when all of a sudden my left leg was in the track. I don't know how it got there but that's where it was. Luckily I was able to catch myself on the nose cone of the one rocket so I pulled myself out very quickly.

The third time was great. I was at Bars, again, and some stupid man was all "oh my lap bar is too tight." Well woe is me. (At this time you should know that my boyfriend and I had just broken up so I was nowhere being in my right mind.) I put the dispatch inhibit in so the rocket wouldn't mow me down, went to row one, squatted down and attempted to release the stupid lap bar. What happened next I'm not quite sure because all i knew was that one second I was up and the next I was laying across the track switch. I have NO idea how I got that way. Now, if the Tower CM was paying attention he should have hit the e-stop because, well, I WAS IN THE DAMN TRACK! And even though I had my inhibit in and the rocket wasn't going anywhere, I just didn't trust that ride as far as I could throw it. So, I got up, told the guy he was just going to have to live with it, and sent the rocket. I got on the headset and said "Geez thanks for hitting the e-stop when I fell in the track."

Tower: I didn't even know you fell until I saw you get out.
Me: Didn't you notice I WAS MISSING?
Console: Are you ok?
Me: I just fell in the track! Do you think I'm ok?!? Tower can you call the lead out here?

*sigh* Those were the days. :roll: And there are many more falls that I can tell you about. I just don't have that kind of time though!

Oh man, it's a wonder you're still with us...

I actually saw John Ritter years ago at one of the old hotel shops. Well, I heard a familiar voice before I saw the face and realized it was him. There used to be a drugstore next to Sgt. Preston's Yukon Saloon & Dancehall. I was in there one night (probably about to buy cigarettes or some such thing...) anyway, I hear this really familiar voice:

"Tyler leave that alone...Tyler, don't touch that...Tyler put that down...Tyler, get up...Tyler, stop playing with your shoe!...Tyler, put your shoe back on...Tyler, where is your sock?" I'm thinking that Mom is back in the hotel room with a migraine and this poor dad is having a tough time managing this little kid. Anyway, struggling dad is at the tobacco counter now so I glanced over to get a look at him, and it was John Ritter. He picks up the jumbo pack of diapers that he just paid for in one arm, gives me this exasperated look before he glances back down at little Tyler, who he then leads out of the store - missing one shoe and sock.

This may sound a little morbid, but ABC is screwed now.

No I totally agree with that. "8 Simple Rules" is the best show they have. Someone told me tonight that the show is still going to go on but they're somehow going to write him off. Not sure how that will work because it'll never be the same.

Channel 7 News said that they were going to write him off as his character dying, and the next season will be retooled so that it shows the family coping with his death.

Why? It worked on Sesame Street :)

That's comedy.

I didn't like the plot of the show. I mean just look at the title. In a couple years the kids won't be teens.

I did like all the actors on the show and thought they worked very well together. In my opinion, they should end it. I have a hard time believing it will last two or even three years after his death.

I've always loved John. I loved watching him in Three's Company. He's a great performer.

I actually met him about a year ago on one of my glow carts. His head was bowed and he was wearing a cap. He was talking very softly as he bought a glow necklace. I thought maybe I was crazy (well I am) so I asked him if he was who I thought he was. He said yes. I told him I loved him on TC. I kept my voice low so no one else heard us. He smiled, said thank you and patted me on the shoulder before he left. About 20 seconds later I heard someone shout "Jack Tripper."

He will be missed by his fans and especially by his friends and family.
