I had heard they were also going to be pouring that type of money into MGM as well once the name change goes though but now after reading this article I am curious if they are going to make the two parts similar. Got the idea that California adventure was getting more of an 'old hollywood' theme from reading that and I would say its pretty safe to assume thats the plan for the disney-hollywood studios.

Wonder if CMs will be given DCA "Count Down" Watches? I still have mine from the first DCA Grand Opening. ;) Remember when DL CMs who crossed over were immediately given B status & med benefits?

Here is what I am seeing.

Behind Mullhulland Drive mad mouse ride will be a DVC extention to Grand Californian.

The Golden Dreams theatre and Whoopie Goldberg will be replaced with the kid friendly Little Mermaid area. It seems they are still up in the air on that one.

The wharf area will be worked on and made into Cars Land.

The monorail will be hidden but not by the Golden Gate Bridge and that ugly crap that was there. Buildings will be added to the main entry way. Sort of like Main Street and with red cars. A new theatre will be added.

With the new more kid friendly rides and the large show area maybe it will work. DCA was to adult and not so much for kids.

The map shows what looks like a track in cars land, I heard and was hoping for a test track type of attracion with a cars theme, not another autopia. I've ridden autopia a couple of times and its like driving a car with a flat tire, the kiddies love it because they cant drive, for those of us that fight traffic its not exciting but test track is so I hope they dont do another re-themed autopia ride. The changes sound interesting, I'm looking forward to it, new stuff is always good.

I like the idea of A Little Mermaid attraction, we shall see how it is executed. Carsland? I guess it is really popular with the young'uns. I am not a real Cars fan myself, but...to each their own. It will be interesting to see what they do with all that dough. I would hope they might add animatronic animals to the River Run and to make it even more of a true Disney attraction. Grizzly Peak and the Condor Flats areas are the only 2 areas in the Park we spend any time in now. Oh, and we go to eat clam chowder in the Pacific Wharf area. I guess that will be ending, no more Pacific Wharf chowda!
That is about it for us in DCA! :o: I do like the idea of a new night time water/light show, maybe it will take some of the crowds from DL at night and lessen the crowd a little  (I can dream, can't I?)
PLEASE DON'T BLOW IT, DISNEY! MAKE US HAPPY! :D:

Disneyland entrance is based on turn of the century Marceline. DCA will be the 1920"s Los Angeles that Walt Disney might have seen when he arrived in Los Angeles.

CHANGES

The Orange Stinger will be remodelled so there is more of a view of the lagoon and may be rethemed toward Disney movies or other Disney Media

Mullholland Madness will remain and become themed around Goofy.

Toy Story is replacing a couple fast food shops and the work is well under way.

Maliboomer is a goner. Yanking it out as many people can get that ride elsewhere and it is ok but not unique like Pirates, Pan, Small World or Bobsleds for example.

Golden State will NOT be touched. The Winery, bakery tour and tortilla tour will remain. The wharf seems to be set for demolition though and Cars Land stuck behind the Screamin roller coaster. Hollywood section will not undergo much changes nor the Bugs Land.

Sounds like it will be more like Test Track, actually.
