Fifty foot high, flashing neon, and they still wouldn't see it.

Today I had to laugh. :hysteria: We had a bad day at monorails. For starters the air compresser at the TTC blew up, so the gates were 10-7 all day. This ment that we were loading and unloading on the same side. This ment that we had to hold everyone on the far side of the station while the trains unloaded. (are you confused yet? Cause I was.) So as this took time, they decided that we would not load cars one and two from the kingdom. Then at 5:30 it started to rain and the hell broke loose. With car one and two down and people exiting faster than a fat man at a tofu buffet, we had our hands full. Then in the fist of the caos, I looked over to see Monorail 3 trying to figure out how he was going to get three ECVs' into the only open section. :wheelchai :wheelchai :wheelchai
At the same time a guest was attempting to ask how he was going to get from the express side to the contempory, without going to the resort beam and without getting wet because he didn't see the sign ant the bottem of the ramp. :lecture:
Now I know it sounds cruel that I didn't help, but I all I could think of was the scene in Animal House where Keven Bacon is in the middle of the riot screaming "All is well." :hysteria: :hysteria: :hysteria: :hysteria: :hysteria:

One of the most fun & wittiest posts I've ever read. :D: Thanks lots for the laffs Driver. ;) Ya, 60', 80', 5', 8' neon & flashing is usually ignored by most. Amazing & pathetic isn't it?

HEY, I love tofu. Where is this buffet? Anyone else coming? I can get on the MK monorail and you guys will switch to the Epcot line for me and drop me off at this magical tofu buffet? Oh, what sign?

Heh. My boss just quoted from that same scene last week concerning a fiasco we're having to deal with (not of our making). Yes, I have a boss that quotes from "Animal House." Life is good.
Funny post, dylan!

Hey, I resemble that remark.
I'm surprised that we did not have to do the mouse house run with the buses when this happened.
It was a total zoo at MK yesterday. You would have thought it was a major holiday. For a while I was 72 both going to MK and leaving MK and this was for resorts that I have never filled a bus to capacity before like SSR.

It's always fun when things break and chaos ensues. I like excitement. I go up that ramp to work thinking it will be a typical day, stand around, tell guest to move ALLL the way down and stop blocking the way...etc... oh no.. not today my friend.
When I went up to base (TTC) platform to check in, I saw 2 managers there and a train leaving with gates open. I made a mad dash for the pen and slammed the gate close button... felt like an idiot. :D:

Are the gates still out?

Did you really expect a manager to close a gate? lol

Nope, was fixed that night.

No, expected a manager to be reprimanding a driver for leaving on open gates/red "X"

Why? I was in the Cab when a Manager took a trip over to MK from TTC when he left with the gates open. I couldn't stop laughing, nor could the Manager in question.
