I hate to disappoint you by saying no, that they are kept separate, but I love the video.

I have to say, at the end there was an interesting element. It seems the people taping were relieved that the calf didn't die, that they didn't have to witness a death. Which brings me to the question, why are they on a Safari? If they want to go on a safari where nothing dies, they should come to Disney World.
Just for the record, lions don't generally like eating grass and leaves, nor any other plant. I also have it on good authority that they are not
Breatharians.

You mean that the continent of Africa doesn't just purchase train loads of Purina Lion Chow or maybe mountains of Meow Mix? I'm shocked!

:D:
And of course we ALL know that all of the animals at AK have been genetically manipulated so they are ALL vegetarians. Right?

And it's the Buffalo's for the win!
I love that video, while I love lions (my favorite animal), it was funny to see the calf get away. The lack of vultures and carcase told them the calf survived it's wounds too.

Heh. I read this wrong at first and I was thinking: "Shoot, I'm a vegetarian and I'd eat a Bretharian!" (If they're getting nutrition passively, that basically makes them a plant, right?)
GRRRRRREAT VIDEO HOBIE! :D:

<cough, cough> Right. Just ask the little bunny that got into the cheetah pen early on in the days of DAK. Oh, wait... no, you can't ask it... there's the veil between life and death between us and that rabbit...

No, no, no...
Everyone knows the animals are audio-animatronics. I have it from an irrefutable source -- a guy on another board who's friends with someone who is a friend of an AP who once overheard another guest talking about what a former CM told them!

Well, the only lawyer here says it's irrefutable, so that sounds like a good answer to me.
Actually, it explains something I had been wondering about: when I was on safari in Tanzania, our guide explained to us that the hippo is the most dangerous animal in africa because "if 'ee sees you, 'ee must keell you". I was pretty sure that one of the hippos at KS saw me the last time I was there, and I haven't seen him lurking outside my house yet, waiting for an oppotunity... If he's audioanimitronics, that explains why he's not hunting me. I feel so much more secure now, just like when I learned that all the boats at WDW are on tracks.
(I will be getting that footage of our [not intentionally] hilarious guide into a transmittable format soon so I can share with anyone who needs a laugh. As a teaser though, I'll tell you that a surprising number of animals "drink zee blood" of other animals.)

Just to be fair, have you met that "guy on another board"?
