But I just had to show you this at the only other Disney board where I spend any amount of time.

My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?

Great thread! I've never seen that board...maybe I should start reading that one instead of "others", it would probably keep my blood pressure a lot lower
...still wouldn't make me drink any less though...

Aw, come on, nothing's going to do that. Are you sure you aren't a Cast Member? :p:ICStupidPeople wrote:...still wouldn't make me drink any less though...
I also documented my story of moving here to Florida there... if you want to read all about it, look for the thread "The New CM Saga". In my infinite creativity, my screen name is the same there as at DIS and the others.

Awesome read so far, I'm on page 10 :)
So, you're a pilot as well as your wife? I want my pilot's license, my wife is not so keen on it. A good friend of mine (who is supposed to go to WDW with us) is a commercial pilot, he works for a small cargo airline and just got his helicopter license. I'd be happy with just a private, but IFR and multi-engine is what I really want (I'd settle for IFR though)...

Don't be fooled by appearances. In Hawaii, some of the most powerful people look like bums and stuntmen.

My First Post - in honor of Big Wallaby
Just finished reading your Saga, Bryan, and I must say you are a talented and creative guy who has followed his dream and found that elusive star to hang your hat on. I've been lurking on SGT for a long time and just joined yesterday so I could comment once in awhile on the strange and unique adventures you and your fellow CMs and guests enjoy.
I grew up in Portland, Oregon, and rode TriMet to school at Portland State for a year before I got married and moved far, far away. All my family is still out there in Oregon and Washington and we make an annual trek to the Pacific Northwest to visit them. The rest of the time we live in the Florida Panhandle, near Pensacola, which is even farther away from WDW than people living in Georgia and South Carolina, or at least it takes us longer to get there than it does them. Life is not fair!
Anyway, I just wanted to tell you what an inspiration you are to those of us who have a dream of someday working for Walt. I have an old horse out in the pasture, and some day when she is gone I plan to pack up the greyhounds and our kitty cats and become a snowbird, spending winters near Orlando and summers in the Pacific Northwest. I just can't take this summertime heat in Florida, and I'm tired of having to put plywood on the windows every August when the storms start a-swirling in the Gulf or the Atlantic.
I know you are going through a transition now, and I will keep tabs on where you end up working when you transfer from the buses. We will be there from Oct 18-22 and again December 9-14, and will definitely make an attempt to look you up.
Sorry this is so long, I just wanted to say HI to everyone and let y'all know how much I enjoy reading this forum. I hope I get a chance to meet many of you in the future.

Still working my way through your story, Big W, but I've gotten to the post with the picture of you. At least I know who to look for in just over 2 weeks now so I don't give the maple candy to the wrong person.
