My daughter is going to a new school this year that runs on a year 'round schedule. That means they get a smaller summer vacation but more breaks throughout the year. One of them is the first week in October. We determined it's been way too long since we visited Disneyland so here we come!

Yayyy! Where are you staying? It's always nice to know you have a trip planned and can look forward to it.

I think Haunted Mansion may be down then (in prep for the nightmare before xmas), but I'm not positive.

No matter what, enjoy your trip!!!

e.t a. after checking it, I lied..HM is closed 9/5 -schedule to open 9/21

you should be fine...the holiday HM is really cool...enjoy!!

Paradise Pier.

That's good news about HM. I hadn't thought about any of the seasonal events.

That is when they are closing rides down for the holiday decorations and refurbishing rides. It looks like Casye Jr. train and Alice in Wonderland will have closures. October is a wonderful month for visiting as it is still warm and the crowds are all gone except locals who are thickest Friday night, Saturday and a couple hours after opening on Sunday.
