From MousePlanet:
A man in his 20s may be charged with filing a false police report after being rescued from the Village Lake near Downtown Disney. Mark Weathersby was reportedly drunk at Pleasure Island on Wednesday night when he apparently decided to try to swim back to his resort rather than walking or taking a Disney bus.
Halfway back to the Saratoga Springs Resort, Weathersby developed cramps and began calling for help. After he was rescued by the Reedy Creek Fire Department, Weathersby apparently got embarassed at being out in the lake by himself and made up a story that he had gone swimming with a friend who was missing. Rescue crews searched for the other swimmer for nearly three hours in a vain attempt to find Weathersby's fictitious friend.
Authorities, now angry about the wasted manpower, will likely file charges against Weathersby for making up the second swimmer.
They ought to send him a bill for the time the rescuers were looking. What an idiot.

At the least, yes. Though I could easily be persuaded to vote for getting him drunk again and throwing him back into the lake. :twisted:GaTechGal wrote:They ought to send him a bill for the time the rescuers were looking. What an idiot.

Re: How NOT to return to your resort
I would have thrown him back in the lake and told him to find his imaginary friend. I bet they will charge him for the cost of the manhunt. Not sure how far that is but too far for all but trained swimmers that is for sure. Maybe he decided to swim rather than face riding in a Disney bus. ![roll eyes ](./images/smilies/icon_rolleyes.gif)

On Board X, there are usually many questions about "What's the quickest way to get from ...X to Y?"
Someone posted once "swim."
Maybe this moron took the response literally.

So that is how you get rid of SGs.Cranbiz wrote:Maybe one of drivers threw him off the bus.![]()
Cranbiz: We are now on top of a beautiful bridge with a view of the parks that is rarely seen. I will now give the first SG to jump off this bridge free drinks at any Disney properties bar. Unlimited drinks. If anyone jumps in the next 20 seconds gets free fast passes and sex with the princess of their choice.
I am sure you could work a good spiel like that and get rid of annoying guests.
