Hee! From a Disney fan site:
Finally we must thank the one kind soul out there who purchased seven jock straps from Amazon.com, using the links on our pages to access their site. As a result, due to the absolutely primeval software Amazon uses (unlike Google, they offer no way to block items), many of you have seen ads touting jockstraps on these pages, which apparently is sparking quite a lot of rather mirthful e-mail.
The exchange of e-mails I've had with Amazon about this little event has been hysterical, if not just plain surreal. If you're a journalist looking for a funny story to run on technology gone amuck, e-mail me. Jockstraps & Disneyland, two things guaranteed to amuse you - how can you miss!
Not just a Disney Supporter, but now we know he-s a well-supported Disney supporter.
Seriously, that's disturbing.

My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?

It is a major problem for boards that need cash. Amazon and Google both have been to put advertisements for adult stuff on "kid friendly" sites. Google regularly puts links to 6 step contests which are where you keep filling out information and clicking on offers but never ever are done. There are people who tried but after 100 or more steps gave up.
It is great for sites to raise money but I have seen to many low quality sites, spam sites, fake contests and sex related sites advertised on boards that kids as young as 8 years old.
Jock straps is not as bad as the porn sites that were advertised on one kid friendly site.
