SGT Overheard...

I thought there was already a thread for this, but apparently not.
Overheard on the train to Rafiki's Planet Watch in AK: Two women being really sarcastic the whole time, like pointing out the posters and saying how beautiful the scenery was. As the train stopped, they said to each other "They call that crappy thing a safari? We didn't even see any animals!"
BTW, we got our Silver Passes, so you can shred my AP!

A few years ago I was sitting on a bench in the UK pavillion. Two women came out of a door next to the bench. They got about six feet in front of me and one said to the other "I really want to visit Europe, but first I have to learn the language". A few minutes later my mom and sister came out of the same store laughing their heads off. Apparently those same women had been in the store complimenting the CM on her convincing British accent and asking how long it took her to learn to do that. The CM's response was "Maam, I am FROM Liverpool".

Or throw them to the lions and yell, "DOES THAT LOOK REAL TO YOU?!?!?!"

The last time I went to England, I wasn't faking an accent or anything, but I had several people ask where I was from, only to be surprised that I was from the U.S. and not the U.K.
In recent years, I have learned that my hometown of Portland is considered to have the closest thing there is to the perfect accent for the English language. A few studies said that were you to go back in England about 600 years, they would sound in England just as I do now.
Not sure if I believe it, but I'll propogate it.

Hey this is totally OT but I used to live in Portland, OR! Well...I lived in a very close suburb but I was there all the time. It IS a small world after all......
Ok so back to being relatively on topic for me...I was walking by the Canada pavillion when suddenly I overheard two women on motorized scooters. The woman looked around and said "We must be in Egypt"

I don't even see where the idea could have come from...
