Temporary living near DLR?

Hey! I just wanted to see if anyone had any recommendations for temporary housing around Disneyland.
I did the wdwcp last year, but had to leave abruptly due to health reasons, but I'm doing better now and really want to get back on with the company at least seasonally. I live about seven hours away from Anaheim, and as far as I understand they want you out there for two or three months before you can just pick up shifts when you're around.. so I don't want to move out there, just stay for a couple of months.
My fiance and I are planning to move to Orlando as soon as he can get transferred.. but it will probably be at least a year, and I would really like to at least have a foot in the door at Disney for when I graduate from college. Any advice would be appriciated! thanks guys!
