So a major attraction at the whale's place is closed for 2 weeks. I'm STANDING in the drained lagoon, there's a giant crane sending over new chains, there's an a-frame sign stating the ride is closed for maintenance. The park opens. Guests come up to the op stationed to shoo guests away.
GUEST: Is the ride closed?
OP: Yes, for two weeks.
GUEST 2: Is the ride closed?
OP: Yes, for two weeks.
GUEST 2: All day?
Oh brother...

Overhead this one the other day. Gentleman in his 70s drives minivan up to a parking lot.
STAFF: Sorry Sir, the lot is closed. There is handicap parking only.
GUEST: Is being stupid a handicap?
Now that one made me think a little.

Ah, Wombat, you give too much credit.
He only realizes he's a SG if it benefits him in some way.
I would bet he's used that before and it got him results, so he tried it with Celebration.
The obvious answer to his question is yes, but not for the purposes of parking. Of course, hindsight brings the best comebacks.

It would be too good to be true, lol!
Ride is down. Standing at greeter at End Of Line, doors closed, chains closed at entrance.
SG: IS this ride closed?
Me: Yes!
SG: All day?
Me: No.

Oh man I totally love people like that. I think one of the best Ive ever seen was when I was at Mine Ride, looking across the park (since the dock is up on that mountain you can see quite a ways across the park). Anyways, Im sitting there with my SL and we were chatting about something, when we noticed teenagers running up the stairs to Silver Bullet. Now of course on any given day this would have been fine--except for the fact that Bullet had been closed for the week for rehab...and the fact that there were parts strewn about the dock since they were working on the station. Not to mention the fact that both of the coaster trains were parked in the transfer dock.
So they get up there, they act all suprised to see the ride wasnt running, and sadly mope down the stairs..bwaha. I kinda wish I was over at Bullet to see the looks on the kids faces after tearing all the way up that huge stairway just to see the ride was closed. :D:

During downtime it's always the same questions:
1. Is the ride closed?
2. How long is it close for?
and occasionally
3. What's wrong with the ride?
It's especially funny when people ask "is it closed", when one train is stuck on the lift, and one in the approach with people on it.

"Yes, it's closed. If you'll notice, that car on the lift is full. If it weren't, we'd have you just climb on up there and take a seat.
