Stupid Guest Tricks

I was out riding my horse today, so Mr. Syndrome went solo to AK. At Everest,
he had a FP, as did the party in front of them. Weird thing was, it was a dad
and three kids (i.e. four people) but they only had thre FPs. Dad tells the CM,
"I'm not going to ride, but I have to stay in the line with them" so he is allowed
to pass. Same thing at second checkpoint. Of course, when they got to the
coaster train, all four of them rode. Thing is, why the heck would they have
three FPs instead of four in the first place?!?! It was just bizarre!

It's not just Everest...

The scam goes like this: Say you have a family of, say six. Mom, Dad, Baby,
and three other kids. The three kids use their tickets for FPs at, say, BTMR.
Mom and Dad then get FPs at Splash Mountain. Mom and the Baby wait
outside while Dad "escorts" the kids through the FP lines at BTM and Splash.

The solution? Happened to me just today when I was at Merge Point: Mom &
Three Daughters come up and Mom hands me three FPs.

Me: You have three FPs and Four in your party?
Mom: Oh, I have to walk down with them.
Me: Then you need a FastPass to go past this point.
Mom: I can't wait with them down by the train?
Me: Unfortunately, I cannot let you pass without a valid FastPass. Sorry.

So, Mom left while her three daughters went on. Could have been worse: I
had one guy get in my face and say "yeah, you just TRY and stop me from
walking down with my kids!" and muscle past me.

yup, I smell scam. But, if a group is like one or twp fast pass short, I let them
pass, if it is like more then three, then we have a problem here, unless it is valid
like it got wet or something logical.

scammers are in all shapes, sizes, and whatever. i have a little tale, not park
related, but airline related on our way to WDW. anyone who has ever flown
Southwest airlines knows its first come first serve seating. A B or C. your
boarding pass is A B or C based on when you check in. so all passengers sit on
the floor in their appropriate rows way ahead of time. so these 2 women,
apparently didn't want to wait, get in row A, when the flight attendant saw
their boarding pass had B, they were told they were in the wrong line, go to B
and moved them to the FRONT of B in front of at least 40-45 people. They
were spanish and faked their ignorance. I said, why not make them go to the
end of the line? but was ignored. i'm sure these people do this quite
frequently. but i would've made move to the end of the line.

Speaking of Southwest's A,B,C boarding... *WHY* do people stand or sit and
wait in the "A" line??? They'll be the first people to board, and will have their
choice of seats. There's no need to sit there. If I'm in the A group, I always
just sit in the chairs and join the end of the A line when it's almost done
boarding. I've never had a problem getting my choice of aisle or window, even
being the very last person in Group A on a flight where it seemed half the
plane was a pre-board family with kids. I'd rather sit in a (semi)comfortable
chair than sit on the floor or stand while waiting.

We have quite a few people in line already due to the Disney cruises. :D:

Oh, and pathetically enough, my horse is named Figment...I cringe when people
recognize the reference but think it's because of the current travesty...er,
version of Imagination.
