Hey next time you're at Head Usher, make a bet with yourself like I do.

The bet: See how long it takes people to realize that they screwed up and are no longer in line.

Trust me, makes that position bearable when I am there.

longtime lurker, first time poster...

This was a common issue with people on the green team in dead times at Mission:SPACE, and not so common in orange. In the sim lab (where the gravity wheel is located), people liked to cross the chains into the middle area (where we open during busy times). I'd politely yell out "Please do not cross the chains". They'd give me a dirty or confused look and continued to cross the chains, only to shortly realise their shortcut has not only taken them off the clear path that wraps around the room, but they are now chained into a "maze" on the middle.

Once I had someone actually acknowledge it after they found their way out with "now I see why you didn't want me to cross the chains".

ya think?

Same thing happens at carrousel. People walk in, hop one chain, and find themselves trapped in a chain triangle. They end up stuck since they cant cross into the ride area, cant get back into line (since people have filed in and its pretty small space) and cantgo to the left since that puts them further out of line. I usually don't get involved, except to say "please dont cross over any chains in the walt disney world resort." or if they do cross into the ride area.

Small world they do it too sometimes. They cross chains when our queue isnt full, and often end up having to backtrack, cross another chain, and end up further than they started.
