The latest Disneyland Line and the non existant Ed Greer

What does everyone think about the latest Disneyland Line "Ed Greer's First 100 days"?

Personally, I think the line has been crap since they went to the new color pages. The topics have been crap.

But, to get back on topic and to my point, I have not seen hide nor hare of Ed Greer. Nor, in my opinion, has he done anything yet for the resort. When are we going to see any noticeable action other than just publicity photos of him here and there?

I want Cast Member Matt back!! At least he did things for the resort unlike Ed Greer who hasn't done crap.

Read Ed Grier & other articles then left The Line in breakroom. His first 100 days have not made a diff to me or any CMs I know. I was not impressed at all! The only time I ever see or hear of Ed is in glossy photos & prints which glorify him & his grand PR at DLR. He's a figure head who will never mingle nor care like Matt. Hell, even Cynthia was out, among us, & did say hello a few times. I'm not sure I'd recognize Ed - except by his name tag & those N Y suits. :( We'll never see Ed at a Grad Night. :rolleyes: Agree with you abt The Line. It certainly has gone way down in news & other interesting articles. Loved The Line when it focused on old Anaheim history & the family generations we had as CMs working at DLR. Seemed it was "our paper." Even liked the back page advertising. Helped with my work shoes & cell bill. :) Now it's just another gloss to glance at & leave. Too bad we lost a worthy black & white tradition. :mad:

You know you could have "your own" newsletter for your area if you wanted to work at it. When I worked in stores (old dept. 908) and in attractions (956), someone in each department came up with the idea of an independant bulletin. Both had to get area management approval to get off the ground, and the area manager also had approval of each issue. However, they were a little homier than the line because they were about people you worked with every single day (even when the company wasn't so big) and there was much more about things that actually applied to you. I can think of only one instance when something got vetoed by the boss as being "anti-company" - believe it or not, a song flick "Jingle Keys:"

Jingle keys, jingle keys, leads are on the way
Spit out the gum, hang up the phone and put that book away, hey
Jingle keys, jingle keys, leads are on the way
They appear when friends are near
And ask them not to stay.


BTW, that was written by a someone who was a lead for years in the old shops.
