Making Disney Magic

Today I was in Blue Ribbon Bakery, and one of my guests was a birthday girl. Her mother bought her a Princess Birthday Bucket, and I hid it from the young miss, and told her to close her eyes and put her hands out.

I put the bucket on her hands, and told her to open her eyes, and when she did, her face lit up with a huge smile.

Just thought I'd share...

I totally thought you were going to say she wound up dropping it.

Also very amused that there is indeed a "Princess Birthday Bucket". Doubt they'll be going into a cake shop and ordering anything in a bucket, or letting themselves be called princess, once the teen years hit. ;)

Good story though.

We also have Mickey Birthday Buckets. :) I call all the girls Princess... Some of them smile at that, especially the older ones. I call the Boys "My Prince" and some of them are like "What?" and some of the parents smile when they hear me call the kids Prince and Princess.

The Birthday Buckets come with a small cake, and stickers and other small toys that I haven't seen but a glimpse of.

It probably makes me lame... But I will be at Disneyland for my birthday on Sunday ( lunch at Blue Bayou) and I'm gonna look into getting a bucket... It sounds kinda fun... You're right from 8 - 34 I would not have considered... But at 35 it sounds kinda silly and whimsical. :D:
