Stupid Guest Tricks

Knowing that you practically have to kill a manager in front of witnesses for a truly permanant "no-rehire," would any of you former cast members consider going back to work at the Park?

Me? I think I 'd have to be a ticket taker. I don't think I could handle the heavy lifting (stanchion carts/rope fences for Fantasmic stage prep.) required in attractions anymore, I know I can't lift the 50 lbs. required for merchandise anymore and frankly, I'm still burned out on 50 times an hour of "where's the bathroom?" I also wouldn't want to deal with some of the "situations" that have a way of arising only inside the bermed area...lol...

Be a ticket seller. It's air conditioned!

I wouldn't want to go back. It's such a miserable feeling going back to a place you quit. Of course, it depends on the reasons why you left in the first place.

I'll miss the people I worked with.

I quit last November, and went back for a visit a couple of months ago for the first time. It wasn't such a good feeling during that visit. I don't think I'll do it again.

I didn't hate the place - the main reason I left was that I was sooo bored during the average workday. I saw how miserable a lot of the managers were (or how I would be in their place), and knew that wasn't for me. There was really nothing there for me. It was fun for a few years...

It's kinda fun coming to places like this and hearing stories that remind me of what I liked & disliked working there.

I have thought about it a lot. I wouldn't mind going back but I know it would not be the same. The park has changed and not for the better. The people I liked to talk to aren't there anymore and some of the ones that are I don't want in my life again. If Disney has taught me one thing it's that no one tops them in drama levels. So, if I could go and not encounter any of that, I would say yes. After all, it was a magical time for me, drama aside. :D

That's the video game in the Starcade we used to have in the mid-90s. It was a video game flight simulator situated inside a gyroscope-looking setup that allowed the player to spin and turn at all angles (even upside down). I think the actual game inside the machine was called "G-Lock" or something like that.

Since it went upside down, we had to have a cast member there to make sure idiots were seated securely and to prevent other idiots from running up to the contraption and getting killed.

I liked working that. It was part of the Captain EO rotation. Lots of people didn't like to work it, so you could stay there all day if you wanted.

Lots of people losing their change and sometimes their lunch. Funny when the machine would malfunction, trapping the guest upside down. This would often happen when the guest would lie to us, and tell us they were under the weight limit. Ha ha - serves you right. Now you're stuck until a technician comes from the other side of the park...

I would highly doubt it. I went to school every term I could. Managed to work while attending law school. Managers never willing to work with my schedule so I could go to school, while working. Doing all of this while maintaining a 3.8 G.P.A. I haven't even left yet, but I'm doing my whole taking my entire vacation, personal holidays, and sick time thing right now. I have until April 16 to use my maingate, and ID since while I'm on my final vacation I'm still "working" for them.
