I don't know about Florida - in California, I just heard that EVERY department was over budget, so I don't think anyone is going to be hired until it's time to do the Thanksgiving/Christmas hiring.
If you did good at your old job, you shouldn't worry about being a re-hire, but it might be good to ask about the different jobs and read the WDW job site online and compare what current CM's say about the positions vs. what the website says the job description is. I thought I heard someone say that once nine months goes, just about anyone is eligible for rehire - I could be mistaken. Back in my day, you just about had to kill a manager or destroy company property to have a permanant No Rehire status.
Personally, if I had my druthers, I think I'd want to be a Tour Guide today. I know they get the nonsense of guest complaints at City Hall, but I like the idea of being somewhat free and mobile while giving tours in the parks. Beats looking at the same four walls or dozen trees every day. I was in Merchandise (Stores) for 4 years and after about 3 years I got tired of it (and I was a hat writer, hat decorator, trainer and lead), and then I was in Attractions for the rest of my "tour of duty" and got sick of it after about 5 years. Find something that meshes with your interests and maybe you'll be happier in an area that covers something you love.

Yes I did let go of Zasu's leg and they gave you some sound advice there. Some was snide and mean, mine was honest and truthful, while Zasu gave your some sound advice also.
I spend many hours each day on the internet cleaning up after kids and can tell you that a person's posting habits tend to reflect their real world life too often. Read the above thread and you seem to batting .000 in meaningful thread, wondering if you are that way in life. I hope you get the job you want and good luck.
