They're even going so far as threatening a class action law suit against Disney.

All this because the park isn't being closed to 7pm on the nights of the party.
These people need to get a freaking life, makes me VERY happy to be a FORMER CM.

One of those letters to guest relations had to mention the "Walt would be dissapointed." line.

when I heard about that on the WDW Today podcast my first thought is that it's probably a mistake on the calendar. Even if you call and are told it's not a mistake it probably still is. and when we went last year they were herding everyone into frontierland. My guess is that would cause plain old day guests to leave. People just need to take a pill and calm down.

Now some are mad because they heard Hallowishes will be shown to everyone on some nights instead of just at the party. The entitlement attitude of guests is just disgusting. Then they wonder why moral is down among CM's!?

I know, like the poor folks at guest relations haven't heard that one before.

It's so funny because these people honestly think Disney cares if they write a letter saying they'll never come back, Disney knows you're psychos people, you'll be back, you always are.

I don't usually side with SGs but let me play devil's advocate for a second. These people are paying good money for a "private" party. If non-paying guests will take up prime parade/fireworks viewing space during this "private" party, then I could see why they are upset. I'm not sure how much the tickets are, but if I was one of them and I see a bunch of people on the curve who have not paid the, say, $50 for the "private" event and I have to end up standing behind them to see the parade, then I'd be upset as well.
However, the whole talk about lawsuits, etc is ridiculous. Not that anyone will follow through. How many people have been threatened to be sued by a SG?

Besides, once the word "lawsuit" has been brought up seriously, guest services get to step to the side and the SG gets the treat of dealing with the Lawyears if I'm not mistaken.

Those people are ridiculous. I've been to MVMCP twice (with tickets), and I was under the impression that although there were signs that said, "Magic Kingdom will close at 6 pm tonight," the guests that did not have tickets were "encouraged" to leave at 6 pm. Disney did not "force" them out. Because the poeple that bought tickets exchanged them for wristbands which allowed them to watch special shows, ride rides/attractions, etc, the non-paying guests who stayed in the park could still enjoy the parades and fireworks.
Since I have not been to MNSSHP, I don't know how things are set up and have not seen first hand what special shows and attractions are happening.
As far as "writing their Congressman," filing a lawsuit is over the top, don't you think? I have learned that if you write a letter to a company because you are disappointed with their product, service, etc, if you tell them "I will not buy another Dell computer ever again!" your letter will just get circular filed. But if you provide some history of the problem, tell the truth, and basically ask, "what are you going to do about this?" you will probably get a response to your satisfaction.

I have also been to the afterhours parties. As stated, the only thing the "uninvited" guests can partake in is the fireworks and parade. My question to them is why bother staying? You can't go on the attractions or take part in the other festivities that require a wrist band. Disney just can't "throw out" the other guests, that would make great press with the local rag sheet called the Orlando Sentinel. If the guests do not care to take notice of the signage (why should they? Some of these same guests probably do not obey speed limit or stop signs either), that is their problem.

I've always been a little confused about that saying. Why is it exactly that anyone would
want to attract flies? :)

Yoy got me there.

May be someone who has watched Bugs Life one too many times and wants to start a fly circus?

Anyway, I thought the quote was appropiate (If the shoe fits wear it) :D: :D: :D:
