Hey, it's my first post here. I found this site a while ago and have basically just been a lurker and enjoying your stories. :)

I know how you all hate how people just stop on the walkways... And who doesn't? I've been guilty of this once, though... But I have a good reason, I swear!

So on the opening day of the new revamped Pirates, my sister and I were walking to NOS from Main Street (Waste of time, BTW. We had to walk all the way back to the Frontierland entrance.) while the show on top of the Matterhorn was going on (Sorry, I don't know what it's called.). Then all of a sudden we hear Goofy say, "We have a lot of Caribbeaners in the park today!" or something on the lines of that. We both stopped dead in our tracks. We looked at each other to confirm that we heard the same thing... Whoa, Disney! Racist comment? We started cracking up afterwards, but we couldn't believe it.

Was anyone else there that day to hear this?

It's the show called, "Mickey and the Magnificent Mountain - ears". It plays two times a day. What goofy said had to do with something about mountain climbing gear, but reference to Pirates of the Carribeans.

A karabiner is what you call a metal hook with a spring-loaded or screw-tightened catch designed to prevent the hook from accidentally sliding off. Such things are used frequently by mountain climbers, and of course Goofy, being Goofy, mishears "karabiner" as "Caribbeaner" and makes the reference to the pirate ride.

PirateJohn, you've certainly become very intelligent now you're a Toxicologist. I had no idea leaving DLR elevated a CM's I Q to such heights. :crowd: :dancear:
