What the...?

ESPN Zone advertised being open for the World Cup matches, so I got up nice and early and arrived nearly two hours before the USA/Czech Republic match -- only to find the doors were locked, the lights were off, there was a sign saying the building was closed to a private event until 12:30 and there was not a soul out front explaining what the hell was going on.
If you're going to advertise being open at 6am and people will be waking up in the wee hours of the morining and making the drive over for the sole purpose of seeing the game on the big screen, then if you must be closed for any reason, you'd darned well better have someone out front explaining what the hell is going on.

I'm not suprised that USA lost, but I am very unpleasantly surprised at how horribly they played. They are a much, much better team than that.
I only saw part of the T&T game. Islop was playing out of his mind.

Yeah the U.S. needs to wake up. A lot of teams are still not all there. Tons of first time teams and or rare teams are shocking people with draws and such. t&t with a draw. Australia coming back from 1-0 to make a 3-1 game. ridiculous. this cup is already exciting. and yes, i know the U.S. can play better. they just need to wake up. I taped the match, but I cannot bring myself to watch it. I watched Brazil's first game and even they arent all that awake yet. I'd be amazed if the U.S. can get out of that group anyway. That is a tough tough group to play in.

No kidding. I was watching the draw live on TV, and when USA's name came up, my jaw hit the floor.
But I don't mind them not advancing so long as they at least show the group a tough series of matches. They ain't gonna do that with performances like Monday's.

Yeah, the U.S. I always cheer for them, but I never expect much. They always seem to be fired up getting to the Cup, but once the games start..they shut down...They should at least fight. I mean the C.R. team is bad enough ,but with Toni and Totti on the Italy team.....well at least those games should be fun to watch, Czech vs. Italy.
I watched the brazil game, and even they didnt seem to have their stuff together yet. They should have dominated that game. Not to mention as much as i like Ronaldo, the dude is getting old. What's this, like his third or fourth world cup? He rules and all but he did so badly the fans booed him off the field! hahaha
what is up with all these teams that are the favorites!? all the rookie or rare teams are owning, considering what the general expectations are of them....sheesh. Someone please light a fire under the U.S. teams arse. thanks.

Well, they sure brought it in 2002.
Granted, one advantage they had then is that nobody took them seriously, so they surprised the heck out of Prtugal. But Czech Republic was obviously ready for them, and added to that is that USA did not bring their A game like they did four years ago.

true 2002 was great! I was shocked. I guess i never e3xpect much but hope to be surprised by them? hahah. Gah, I just wish they would PLAY already. Being there isnt enough, you get three games to get the heck out of your group...WAKE UP !! hahaha
bah. they are probably going to get demolished (tho im hoping they already got their wake up call/kick in the pants) this weekend...But that game, I will be happy whoever wins.
