With attractions like timekeeper, Horizons, 20K (WDW) being "temporarily"
closed, dismantled, destroyed and/or replaced. I was just curious what were your favorites of the classics that are gone and what made them special for you?
Like one of my favorite childhood rides was the MINE TRAIN THRU NATURE'S WONDERLAND AND RAINBOW CAVERNS, it was one of the best things I remember, the trees and waterfalls, bubbling paint pots, tumbling rocks, and my favorite was rainbow caverns...I thought they were the most beautiful thing I had ever seen and I loved the music. Corny, maybe, but it was slow, long and our family kind of bonded riding together, usually 3 or 4 times in a row. ( I also remeber the burros! )

I will be your guide for this magical journey into the movies. It's the perfect job for me, because I love movies! Is everybody ready? Great, because it's showtime. Ready when you are, CB!

Horizons and Superstar Television are my two biggies.
Also, I miss the song from the old Listen to the Land boat ride, and I have some fond memories from Take Flight in Tomorrowland.

It wasn't a ride but I miss the Pendelton store.
Don't be fooled by appearances. In Hawaii, some of the most powerful people look like bums and stuntmen.

I miss just about all of them. <sniff>
Okay, I don't much miss the Skyways, or the second version of Imagination (I really didn't like being told I had no imagination), and I'm sorta glad the Shooting Galleries no longer use lead shot.
But the rest of 'em, yeah.

Re: Dismantle the Magic!
20K was my fav. ride growing up.
I remember being about five or six (right around there) when my grandparents took me to MK one day after school and we found out 20K had been closed forever. Apparently, according to my grandfather, I turned to him and said I wanted to go home and never come back. . .
Well October 18th, 1998 was my official return to Disney World. First thing my grandfather and I did after getting our APs was going to wait in line for Fantasmic! and, as they say, the rest is history.
Other than that. I think Timekeeper would be one simply because it was Robin Williams being, well, Robin Williams. Then of course, as many others, Alien Encounter simply because of Tim Currey.
I go to Tiki Room every so often and sit in the back and pretend to take target pratice at the birds because that's about all that place is good for now.
Wasn't around EPCOT during the final stretch of WoM and Horizons so can't say anything.
