Injured on the Job -- Need Help!

First off, I am NOT new to SGT. I have another account, and am only posting under this name to prevent anyone from finding out my identity. (I know that management likes to visit the site from time to time, and I don’t want to risk losing my job or anything).
I am a frequent poster, and know many of you in person. If you recognize my story, please don’t post any replies that might reveal my identity to others. Thank you.
That said, I need some advice:
I was injured on the job about 5 months ago. Since then, I have seen the on-site Disney doctors as well as being referred to other specialists. I’ve found the experience very frustrating. Doors seem to be slamming in my face. No one is willing to sit down and discuss anything with me.
I keep getting the “I’ll get right back to you” brush off from everyone—doctors, my workers comp case manager, my management team, etc… I am receiving little to no treatment. I am in tons of pain. And I was recently threatened with being declared “permanently disabled” because of this injury. Oh, and there has been virtually no diagnostic testing to actually find out what’s wrong with me. They took an x-ray which proved that my bones aren’t broken (broken bones have never been a concern—my injury is of the muscle/ligament type), but there have been no cat scans or MRI’s or anything else... so an exact diagnosis has yet to be made.
On top of all of that, I have been forced several times to work against my doctor’s restrictions—something that has caused me extreme pain and made my injury worse.
The reason I’m posting is because I’m sure there are several former and current CM’s who have been in my shoes. I’m interested in finding out what my rights are, and what I need to do to get better.
Until recently I had no intention of seeking legal advice, but I’m starting to get a little ticked off. The injury I have should not have lasted as long as this has been going on. Because I’ve received little to no treatment, my injury is getting worse. All I want is to get better. I thought a little hard work on my part (a phone call here, an email there) would get it done. Now I’m ready to speak with an attorney.
Can anyone recommend a good workers comp attorney? I prefer to work with someone who has dealt with Disney before…
I’d appreciate any advice, help, etc that you all are willing to give me.
Thanks!
