CM's that got fired.

Post by goose » Thu Mar 09, 2006 9:13 pm

I wanted to start a thread about CM's that got fired. Many CM's get fired for points, but a lot of them get caught doing really stupid things and that's how they get fired.

Here's some I can think of off the top of my head:

*2 CM's were fired because they were caught having sex in a car in the Katella lot.

*CM was fired because he made a dry ice bomb. The bomb hurt his arm and he had to be taken to the ER.

*CM was fired (or suspended, I'm not sure) for taking another CM's camera and taking pictures of things, including his genitalia.

Anyone have any good stories?

I remember 4 years ago at jungle a skipper was fired because he said ot a guest over the PA Dont come back or I am going to kill you.

Then there was a CM who was prank calling a Tool that was working Tiki and one of the times he called a manager picked up and said "Tiki room this is Blank"
CM:"this isnt Blank who is it really"
Manager: "This is Blank"
CM: " If I stuck my Penis in your ass would you still be Blank"
Manager: " who is this"
CM: hangs up phone quickly Looks around and tell every one on the dock if that manager comes by dont tell him who was on the phone.

Its a shame that CM pissed everyone off that day and when the manager cam over asking who was just used the phone everyone pointed to the CM.

I can think of an idiot girl who hired in casual-seasonal one summer about 20 years ago. She would show up to the location wearing heavy eye-make-up (not allowed at the time), I'd have to be the bitch lead and send her off to wash her face. She would get skirts too short (obscenely so - she didn't have the greatest figure), or wear her blouse unbuttoned too low. One day, she had me relieve her for five minutes from the hat shop so she could go to the ladies room. No big deal. She comes back in and there were little white rings around each of her nostrils. What - she thought I was born yesterday? Anyway, she ended up getting fired for trying to sneak out one of those teeny Tigger plushes in her purse after a shift. Good riddence.

We used to prank call other attractions all the time. Granted it wasn't anything dirty, but it was good for a laugh. And sometimes if you were really slow and bored, it was fun to call people and see what was going on.

 Do you know where the bathroom is?

:p: Of course I do, would you like to know where the bathroom is?

Well, I've got two stories...one is really stupid, the other one is kind of sad.

There was a girl that used to be Malificent for the castle show at MK who went on her lunch break to Mexico at Epcot. She had 2 or 3 drinks, but she didn't take the time to completely wash off the character make-up. She thought her sunglasses would hide most of it. The manager on duty recognized the Malificent make-up immediately, and called over to the show manager at the MK. She was fired on the spot.

Back in Christmas of 92, I was being trained for various roles in the Christmas parade at the MK. Our final rehearsals were at night after park closing so we could practice with moving floats on the parade route. Just as we were finishing up for the evening, and going through the gate, there were 3 or 4 managers standing there waiting with security and a sheriff. They intercepted one of the candy cane girls and escorted her to the changing rooms. Once she was changed, she was placed in a cop car and driven off the premises. The story was that she was broke, didn't have enough money for gas for her ride home, and solicited one of the gantry/float drivers to buy some weed that she had with her. The driver told a manager, and while we were out rehearsing on the street, security went through her purse and locker. They found the drugs and turned her in. She lost her job, went to jail, and only heaven knows what happened to her since.
Poor thing never even got to perfrom in the parade in front of park guests.

You know, I did notice a used condom on the ground at K Lot a couple of weeks ago...

Back in the days before FASTPASS, there was a CP who worked turnstiles. Everytime a guest came through on the last day of their ticket, he confiscated the ticket, explaining that handstamps would let them parkhop the rest of the day.

Not surprisingly, he was selling these spent tickets to some hack on I-Drive. The same hack sold them to the naive families that we had to turn away from the turnstiles every day in tears.

On his last day, he got off the bus at the parking lot to find his manager, security, and an Orange Co. Sherrif waiting for him. They had only one question for him: "Why are there over 1200 expired tickets in your backpack."

Since he didn't have a good answer, his semester's stay was extended for almost a year, but not at Vista Way!

She was a pretty good engineer... when it came to the locomotive. Not so good when it came to her fellow CMs, much less the guests. Thus it was no big surprise when she announced that she had snagged a new role as a lighting tech at Epcot. One of the few on-stage roles with less guest contact than engineers.

On her last run, she decided that she wanted to see just how fast the trains could go. Now if she had told her fireman and conductor in advance and did it on the deadhead run back to the roundhouse, we would have strapped ourselves in and covered for her as best we could.

Nope. She didn't tell anyone, and she did it with a load of guests. Now understand that the system speed limit is 12mph, okay? She hit the Indian Villiage doing about 15mph, and then just opened it up. Nobody knows how fast she got it, as the fireman was holding on for dear life, as were the guests. The conductor was so shaken he coudln't even let go one hand to give a stop signal!

Her manager met her at the roundhouse a half hour later. "Gee, that's too bad about your job over at Epcot."

"What about my new job at Epcot?"

"Oh, you don't have one."

"Huh? Why the hell not?"

"Because you can't transfer if you don't work for the Company."

"I work here!!! I work hard!!!"

"Perhaps you did, but not any more. This security guard is here to walk you out."

"You can't fire me! I don't work in this department any more!"

"True. Very true. Have a nice life!"

Wow! That is REALLY stupid, as also is very deadly! Someone could have fallen off and seriously hurt themselves at that speed.

I will be your guide for this magical journey into the movies. It's the perfect job for me, because I love movies! Is everybody ready? Great, because it's showtime. Ready when you are, CB!
