Don't Want To Hear It

I'm tired of hearing "It's pretty busy today." Really? It's the 50th, and the holidays, and everyone and their mom has these days off. Except for CM's of course...

umm i'm off on christmas eve... does that help? think of it this way, eventually we'll all have enough senority and/or real jobs and we'll be able to take full holiday seasons off.

I got the 24th off too. But I (like most of the others in Stores) am working 6 days next week.

I will have to admit that i'm rather depressed this holiday season. I love the holidays, and I'm usually a chipper person, however due to recent events, I'm a little sad. And being a cp I have to work all through the holidays, and try to keep a happy face for the guests. So if you see a sad redhead in tomorrowland attractions, feel free to give me a hug.

Given that I'm not going to have any time to head over to the MK anytime soon, I'll just offer an online hug and flower to help you feel better.

Something interesting about Christmas day. The park is uber-busy, but the guests are in a really good mood, so it does seem to make the day go well. I actually had fun on Christmas day.

But I worked today, the 26th, and it was like all the a-holes had conspired to show up on the same day. I worked 11 hours, and there wasn't an hour of that in which I didn't encounter someone who was not merely clueless, but downright mean.

Lessee here... I got told off buy a guy simply because he got a VMK quest question wrong. He got totally indignant about it because "he's been coming to Disneyland for ten years..." blah, blah. Accept it, you just plain got the damned question wrong.

Another woman got pissed off because she didn't feel she should have to go on the quests because she had a disability. She even got pissed off because we wouldn't give her one of the tour pins that 1) we had already run out of, and 2) were only giving to people who earned them over a month ago because the tour has been discontinued. Maybe she oughta go to one of the stores and see if they'll give her free merchandise...

And then another woman who wanted me to give her all the VMK prizes just because her little brat was, apparently, scared of some of the attractions you need to go on to find the answers.

Then came Fantasmic where I had one chick get pissed off because she couldn't get into the wheelchair area.

And, as happens every night, people just kept ducking under the wheelchair rope and I had to fish em out. And one jerk started yelling at me that he should get in because I had let all those other people in. Uh, no I didn't, and I'm going to get them out of there, but I can't do that until YOU GET THE &*%$#@# OUT OF HERE!!!

The next guy coming in, who was pushing a wheelchair, took the time to tell me I was doing a great job. I couldn't tell him well enough just how much I appreciated that...

Im SOOOOOO glad we decided to postpone our visit to january! we were going to try for a trip either yesterday or next monday(my only days off besided weekends) but changed our minds. figured we would miss the crowds and could wait and use our xmas money to buy hubby his pass. woohoo! see you at dl next month!!! (look for the couple with a very tall 2 yr old wearing a sgt tshirt - might have the baby with her sgt bib, but will try to get a sitter for that day so we can both go with max on his first coaster ride)

I'm in TL stores if you ever need that hug. The holidays were rough for me too.
