please, please, please hire some new people.
put presenteeism on hold.
DO SOMETHING!
there is NO WAY the cast members at this resort will survive the holiday season if you keep firing people without replacing them.
lower your standards to get bodies in the shifts we're missing.
that's all i ask.
who's with me?

I'm for that but I am more for this:
Please, please leave us the F alone and let us do our work. Quit treating us like shit or we will all end up quitting and you will be fucked. (and a bunch of us are already to that point).

That goes for just about any workplace. Where I work, 6 people have quit in the past two weeks!

To show how F'd up we are. They are closing Guide I and II, Main Street Pin Cart, Plaza Pin Carts, suspending Come out and Trade pin trading, Pin Trading Specialists, Treasures and a bunch of other store locations throughout the park.
DL really fucked this up with their presenteeism crap.
Walt's new words of wisdom from his grave:
"To all who work at this crappy place, sorry."

Don't get mad.. get DIABOLICAL!!
This is going to be the worst holiday season for guest service in years. And
there's not a damn thing we can do to change that. TDA made their bed and
now they get to sleep in it.
I am so not apologising to the masses this year, not handing out any kind
of NSR, backdoor or anything else. I'm not pushing around dead ECV's, not
moving strollers from the sidewalks, not empathising for those late for a
dinner reservation, not explaining for half the park closing for pyro, I'm not
skipping my lunch or coming back early to help because we have no staff.
I'm just done with it.

Rock on, man! I have to say, that if I put up with that kind of crap day in and day out I would have told Disney to kiss my ass by now. So props to everyone who's hanging in there. :D:

Isn't that the truth. My old department used to have this ongoing fantasy about Walt being regenerated from cryonic suspension and the ensuing rolling of heads in management. Obviously, the philosophy of upper management has gone from treating CM's like family and the use of the Golden Rule (do unto others as ye would have them do unto you...) has turned into "we who have the gold rule..."
Wonder if they would put up with the crap they dish out for the hourly rates they're paying?

...and i quote (from the first link):
The opposite of absenteeism, in which employees are so scared of losing their jobs through downsizing, delayering or just simple redundancy that they work excessive hours or remain at work in the evenings in order to be seen to be there even when there is nothing to do. The result is high levels of stress, unhappiness and poor performance, ironically increasing the risk of the very disaster they are hoping to avoid.
my question is this: did anyone at disneyland research this word before they "made it up"? everything in this defintion is coming true... how could anyone have thought this would be a good idea?
