I was at disneyland this last friday and when i was waiting in line at Indiana Jones, right before you go into the room were you watch the little movie, me and my mom saw Corey Feldman. He was next to us and was waiting with three other people. The cast member only let his group go while everyone else behind him had to stay. When we were waiting by the elevator before you go up the stairs Corey went through the little gate, were the CM's are, without any permission. Well he wanted to go in the elevator and when the doors opened a CM went rushing over to see what was going on. Well i heard Corey say something very brief and the CM let him and group go and that was the last time i saw them. I was wondering do celebrities have to have special passes to go through the lines or not. He wasnt wearing a pass so was he allowed to go through because the CM recognized him? It wasnt a big deal or anything i was just wondering how it works.

They ususally have VIP guides with them and they usually go through the exit. I helped many while I work on Astro Orbitor, like Kobe Bryant, Countess Vaughn, George Egans, etc.... There are rare times they actually go through the regular line, with a guide, for example Brad Garrett. I heard horror stories that some celebrities are just plain rude, while others are nice and sweet. I heard horror stories of Oprah, but never really experienced it.

What he said...
If they're huge stars and it's busy, yeah, they get whisked away from the hoi polloi, security detail varying. If it's not busy, they go around like everyone else...
Sometimes we used to make little accommodations for certain celebrities. On two different ocassions, Joe Montana and his family came into Pirates while I was on the unload dock. I just gave them their own boat both times - seeing the guys on the crew salivate to talk to Joe, I figured he'd want to enjoy the ride in peace with his wife and kids. And he was pretty nice, so it wasn't any trouble. The guests didn't seem to have any problem with it either - they were just happy to see him (he was still playing for SF when he came through). I remember hearing horror stories about teen idol kind of guys - Screech from Saved by the Bell was supposed to be a jerk and the guy who was Doogie Howser made a really negative impression on some of my friends over at Bear Band. In my own experience, it seems that they younger the star, the bigger the head - they seemed to believe their own publicity and feel entitled to the special perks (I spit on the Mousketeers - fie on you brats). So years later - where are Doogie and Screech. Meh...
Certain celebrities are supposed to get back door clearance, more for their own safety, than the convenience. There are a million stories about Michael Jackson flaunting protocol and doing without backdoor because he wanted to be seen, but that's a whole other thread...

I don't know about Screech, but Doogie is on the new show "How I Met Your Mother"

Exactly. Once I was visiting the park back when I was an AP holder, and Tone Loc and his group were in line for Space, about two groups behind me. Mind you, this was the late ninties, and his fifteen minutes of fame were long past him, but I still recognized him.

You mean if oprah came to DL at closing time, and
demanded to get in the park, and she was denied access, she would claim it was racial descrimination, right?
