SGT That Makes Me Mad

I was driving to KLot, going south on Disneyland Drive from the 5 Freeway, stopped at the light, where the road takes you to Mickey & Friends if you turn right. A (assuming, since they're going that way) guest swerves in front of my car, really close, but I didn't hear anything, so I didn't think (s)he hit me, didn't think anything of it. Got home, and there's a huge dent in the front bumper that I don't have the funds to fix.
More amusing, there was this lady trading pins today, asked to see my lanyard. I showed it to her, and she asks about a small pin (think it was Donald) about what's on the back. I say I'll read it to her, she says I should let her see it, because I wouldn't know what it means. I read it, "(C) Disney 1937", etc, etc, and she says it's a bootleg. I ask how she's so sure, and she grabs my lanyard to see (note: this pin is on the top of the lanyard, very uncomfortable), and responds that there's no pin trading logo, so it's not a Disney pin. Telling her that not all pins have the Disney logo has no affect, since she's sure that if the pin was made in the last decade, it has to have the logo, yells "it's a bootleg", and storms off into the Pier. The only things worse that guest know-it-alls (but don't) are CM know-it-alls (but don't know it all)... a different story for a lot later.

The lady was probably wrong or whatever about the pin because I have 2 Disney Pin Trading Pins from 2002 (right before pin trading got HUGE). I got them at I believe its the Disney Showcase. Neither has the pin trading logo on them, but they both say Disneyland Resort and copyright Disney (the tigger one adds the based on the A.A. Milne disclamer). Nor are they dated.

The pin trading logo and year weren't added to the back of pins until about 2002, but pins have always said (C) Disney and the country of manufacture on the back. The pin you were wearing on your lanyard could very well have been a counterfeit. There are ways to tell, but they don't really matter since we're not allowed to refuse a trade as long as the pin meets the trading criteria.
The guest, however, HAD NO RIGHT to grab your lanyard. A guest grabbing your lanyard can be considered assault. It says on the little card on your lanyard as well as on the pin trading etiquette handout, "Please refrain from touching another person's pins, lanyard, etc."

I had the same thing happen to me last year. I wouldn't be at all surprised if it was the same person. I was stopped in the right left hand turn lane at Katella and CM Way. My left arrow turned green, I looked in all directions to make sure nobody was going, so I proceded, back then the cones forced 3 lanes into one, I of course was merging to the far right lane, a vehicle came charging from the right turn lane on Katella (she had a red light, and therefore should have waited for everyone behind me and me to clear the intersection) As she came toward me, I thought "wow, she's not going to stop", she didn't and struck me. I then parked and observed the damage on my car. I asked the security guard on duty if he saw the car that had struck me and told me, "why yes it was security officer blah blah blah" I waited for miss blah blah blah to show up, I won't mention a name as I'm sure anybody who has worked in the park knows her. She then proceeds to explain, "wow, that was close, wasn't it?" I said "I don't think you could get any closer you hit me" I took her over to show her the damage and she basically said the damage was already there and that we never touched. I have been fighting with insurance companies for over a year now. Her company filed an arbitration suit against my company to pay for her damage. (Yes, her damage which according to her did not exist) This woman is crazy, I'm now in the process of taking her to small claims court.

Double, Double GOOD LUCK 1team. Think I know who miss blah blah blah is. She became very angry with me abt 2 wks ago as I left Hollywood Gate because my shirt was not tucked in & my belt was not perfect. Told me I could not cross to the shuttle because I didn't have the "Disney Look." It was 1 a.m., I was off the clock, & crossover is not really on stage @ 1 a.m. I threw my coat on & told her I now had "The Look."She's insane  .

Oh my God!!! I can almost guarantee it's the same person, there are so many horror stories about her. She's only aloud to work at hollywood gate and harbor point because she was harrassing guests in the park. I'm sure Disney would have fired her a long time ago but she is protected by her union. She told a friend of mine, who's an older gentleman that he needed to spit out his gum and that he was not aloud to chew gum back stage. Beware all, she is evil. By the way, a little update to my story. I took her to court and I WON!!! Finally justice was served and she had to pay! :D:
