Is there anything I can do?

I swear I don't understand why I have so many scheduling conflicts... I went thru this same thing just a couple months ago...

I turned in a new availability in December, stating I couldn't work at all during the week, only Fridays after 6 and weekends- the minimum availability. There's no way I can possibly work during the week, cuz my school schedule is insane this term. Well, everything was going great up until this week- they've got me scheduled for during the week. I tried talking to my manager and the scheduler about this, and both told me the same thing... they insist that I didn't turn in a new availability, and that the only one they have for me states that I am available at the time they scheduled me (I was last term, but then I was taking only 16 units then and not 21). I KNOW I turned in a new availability, and I KNOW they had it... because honestly, I've heard complaints from people working there during the week about how short staffed we are right now.... and I know there's no way in hell that I could have just gotten "lucky" for the past two months and not get scheduled at all during the week. It just isn't logical.

But they're still saying that I didn't turn one in, and that I have to call in during the week. I really don't know what to do... I don't want the points, I don't think I can afford the points- especially since last term I was having the same kind of scheduling conflicts (and I even had witnesses who saw me turn in the forms, yet my availability kept getting "lost" and of course they'd say I just never turned it in, and I'd be forced to call in). Is there anything I can do about it, or am I just screwed?

I guess scheduling sucks ass resortwide. I've had problems with either not getting very many hours or not getting my location preference even when I put the same location for the first 6 out of 12 locations preferenced.

All you can do is try to give away the shift or you will have to call out. If you cant get rid of the shift, use a Call Dependent and if they ask say it is for your mom or dad.

shift change outta all those shifts that you can't work, and turn in a new availability form. if you can't get the shifts traded away, then call in a and try and get ado's, give them the heads up "hey can't work on these days, can i get ado's, or at least try and pad them 'cause i won't be there!" explain also that it's b/c you have school, sometimes they'll re arrange entire weeks to help you out, they did that for me once when they scheduled me for my graduation day... that was the begining of a whole new life for me... don't know if it's a good or a bad thing, but it was ominous.
