You are VERY lucky to have great in-laws! I don't even know quite how to describe mine. His mom is a religious fanatic who wants him to become a priest. The fact that we are married does not deter her. The last time we went to visit, she told him and I quote: "There is still time for you to become a Catholic Priest!" When he pointed out that he did not now, never had and never would want to become a Catholic Priest, and besides he was MARRIED now, she simply said "Well, there are ways to fix that!" and then she started to PRAY over him!!!!!!!DisneyMom wrote:Well, based on my Hubby, I would have to agree that some things never go past age 10ish-but just like in your experience, that's what makes them so darn cute! One example- HUBBY is very attached to his parents, calls them constantly....I am very lucky as they are the sweetest people ever. :) He also still has all of his old Boy Scout uniforms....![]()

She makes us sleep in separate ROOMS when we visit her, not just separate beds, but I am upstairs and he is downstairs!

His Dad and Step-mom are a bit better, but his father is a brilliant Forensic Psychologist and has written a book about the phcho dynamics of Voltaire.(for collegiate use most likely...) They are all VERY European, they all emigrated here, so there is a certain old country sensibility about them. His father was aristocracy back in the Hungarian Revolution and had to flee to this country, so he is used to things being just so. At least they let us sleep in their guest room which has twin beds, like Rob and Laura Petrie, but that's okay. Very interesting people. They all speak German to one another when I am present, rude, because I don't know but a couple words of German.
Ralph adores my parents. They are the salt of the earth. Very simple blue collar proud Americans. My pop was in the Army stationed in Europe when he became part of The Battle of The Bulge. My mom was in the Coast Guard in WWII. And they are very plain, simple people who taught us the value of hard work and being fair and kind to others. I am very lucky!
In-laws...I am sure everyone has stories...LOL!
At least Ralph wore long pants and a warm jacket and shoes to the ER this morning. I would not let him out the door until he was dressed properly! My guess is that they will give him steroids or benadryl to stop the itching. He had such a bad rash and was itching like crazy. It looked like he had poison oak all over his bum and everything else *down there* His whole crotch and butt were red and rashy!

Maybe this will teach him a lesson!!!! He was embarassed to go to the ER. He did not want anyone to look at him *down there* HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! Maybe this will teach him to wear pants outside! You know when I read that sentence back, that sounds WEIRD! Poor eccentric Ralph, God love him and I do too! :D:
soozy*Why yes, my husband IS weird, why do you ask?*slicker :p:
