Ah, the typical no point in being at your position when there's no line routine.

Nah. Its ok, considering that most of the people who group together are those I dont talk to unless nessesary, it not a big deal. Not to say that I dont do the same but at least I break away every five minutes to actually do some work or help with a guest.

Oh well. Off to the sweatshop....I mean, work. Big numbers this week apparently, so naturally big numbers means managers running most of the CMs out of their mind for the hourly numbers.

A few quick ones since Im on my way to the sweat shop, er, Disney world.

Guest: Is this the entrance to that (Pointing at Tower, while in the Coaster courtyard).
Me: Nope. This is the entrance to the parking lot.

MANAGER: You forgot your gloves? (Note: While it was in the 50s in the morning, the wind was blowing so it felt like the 40s)
Me: Nope. They got so cold themselves they jumped off my hands to locate the sheep from which they came from.

A twist on the classic three o'clock parade bit:

I work at the Food Court at Port Orleans Resort, which has four different shops. I was on cash when a woman came up to me and asked where she could get pizza. I pointed to the Acadian Pizza 'N' Pasta shop which clearly says Pizza in at least three locations and said "Over there in the pizza shop."

She laughed and said "Oh. I guess that was a pretty dumb question. It's pretty obvious."

I laughed and said "Yeah, and I can tell you when the three o'clock parade is."

She said, "Oh? When?"

I stopped laughing and meekly answered "Three o'clock." The joke was lost.

As far as security goes... My friend worked at the front desk during Pop Warner week, which is at least as much Hell as you guys must have during Super Soap Weekend. He said that front desk got a call from security asking *them* to deal with some streakers by the pool. Apparently, middle schoolers running naked around our resort is not a security issue. Good.

As a Disney shareholder, I'm disgusted to read the things he posted and I'm quite sure his bosses would not think highly of his statements, either.
As a Disney Shareholder and former CM.....

I think these are stinkin' hysterical. Although I can understand that if one has never been a CM you may not find the humor.

In which case, one should not pass judgement until one has walked a mile in those lovely black moccasins that CM's are required to wear.

"Excuse me, what time is the 9:00 Electrical Parade?"
"8:50."

I'm pretty sure our managers use a combination of FLIK cards and knowing where the line is backed up to to make the determination on what to post as our wait time.

As far as HYS posts ... I was asked if we had animals in the park. No, we just call it "Disney's Animal Kingdom" because we thought it sounded cool.

Disney's Animal Kingdom. It's many things, but there's one thing it's not, NATAZU

Oh shut up. AK is a freakin zoo, just an over extravigant, Disney Magic enhanced park to make it look like it's not a zoo.

Yeah, yeah, the CMs know it's a zoo, some of the guests know it's a zoo, and until there's some more attractions (everest is a good start), it's still going to be a zoo. Doesn't matter, I like working there, even if we are the "baby brother" of the parks.

Back to the HYS.

I was groundskeeper at Disneyland's Mansion (or maybe I was Foyer its not important I was outside). These kids are walking up the front. They have walked past the gates and are headed to the Mansion almost to the front steps. They ask me. "Is this the Haunted Mansion"

I blinked a few times double checked that I was in the right costume. Looked behind me was reassured that the Mansion stood behind me. Then replyed "No This is Pirates of the Carribean"

The kids just looked dumbfounded. So I smiled and said "No I'm joking this is the Haunted Mansion"

But still....Here's Your Sign.
