Official SGT ADD thread

A place to be entertained. Videos, jokes, games, and more.
Forum rules
At the old Disney Hyperion Studio, the screening room where animators would show animated scenes to Walt for his approval was small, with no ventilation or AC. Not only was it hot, but the animators were nervously awaiting Walt's reaction to their work. Thus, the room became known as the Sweatbox. Even after the Studio moved to Burbank and elegant screening rooms were offered to the staff, the moniker remained.

Now SGT has a sweatbox of our own. This is the place to find and post all entertaining topics such as video links, jokes, games, and the like. A general rule of thumb is that if the thread is meant to be informative (interesting news stories for example), or a topic for discussion (like setting up a park meet) then it should go in the Break Room, but if the intent is to entertain the masses then it's home is The Sweatbox. I'm sure there will be grey areas at times, so if you have doubt as to where a new thread should go, just use your best judgement and the SGT Staff will be glad to move it later if you guessed wrong.

The weather liars did say we probably would get up to an inch accumulation today, another up to an inch accum tonight, then another up to an inch accum tomorrow. It is purty. It is all white and soft and quiet. Not big fat flakes like I love to see, just a very light snow that keeps going on and on. It is butt cold here and tonight is only gonna get colder. I heard 9 degrees with a wind chill of -4. I will recheck the National weather service, they are usually more accurate. Maybe I'll take some pics and post em, so you can all see the snow, while you sit in 80 degrees down there in Orlando. A friend of mine from Orlando wrote me an email last night, he said it has been unusually warm there, in the 80's. If you want cooler weather, I"ll try to send this snow your way! :D: I am sure Calif is getting the 50's and 60's right about now. I hear there may be rain when we come down. I keep checking the long term forecasts and it does say rain the week we are at DL! And temps in the 50's. Oh well, the pool at the DL Hotel IS heated and I AM going to swim, so I can come back here and tell the neighbors I went swimming on Christmas Day, Nyah, Nyah, Nyah!!!!!! :p: while they are ice skating on the cement ponds round these parts! HAHAHAHA!!!!!
susi :p:
Edit: Just checked Nat'l weather service, they say we may get 2-4 inches of snow tonight! And the temp is going to be 9 degrees, but no wind chill down to
-4. Small blessing. The roads are horrible right now, just enough snow to make it slippery, not enough to be crunchy and tonight when it goes down to 9 degrees, it will freeze up into an ice skating rink and the drive Monday morning will be horrendous. More snow predicted for Monday night after a little break tomorow. Ahhhhhh, Winter in the Rockys. Rocky Mountain highhhhhhhh...in Coloradoooooo....
Yep its cool her, actually COLD in the 60's and rainy which we NEED, Except for the fire damaged areas. now they are worried about mud slides!

I keep trying to convince DW that we need to buy a second house in Cheynne Wyoming so we can enjoy winter! but so far no go! although she did like it when we went to Alaska the first time!!

The nice thing about snow is that you can build a snow fort on your front lawn!!!! Cooool (no, really, coool!!)hehehe

All of you could fly here (if the airport stays open due to visibility issues!) and build a snow fart, oops, I mean snow FORT and snowmen all over the neighborhhood, front lawn, back lawn neighbor's lawn the street, you can build as many snow forts or snowmen you want. We have enough snow. It is still coming down and is supposed to all night. The really good part of all of this is that the ski resorts are finally getting much needed snow. They are measuring it in feet up there, down here in town, still at a mile high, but at the foot of the eastern side of the Rockies, we are just measuring it in inches.
The temp is dropping fast too. Was 15 degrees about an hour ago and it is now 12 degrees. I took some pics and when Hplar :D: gets back to upload them, I will post some for you here. That way you can enjoy the snow without the cold temps. It is all cozy in the house, and we will just throw another cat on the bed tonight. It is definitely a three dog night!

It is a great house with a pool, just like in California, and the people that live here now are really nice and take great care of it and you two could even come ouy for a little trip to see it before you BUY it! hehehehehehe...You really want to have a Winter house in Denver. Yep, you do!

Oh THATS where the name of one of my favorite groups came from!!! hehehe. I remember the snow, grew up in the midwest and came to California in 1970 to participate in the southeast asia unplesentness. Like the "winter" of 60 degree weather so much, I styed here!! Had offers to move to the east coast, but politely declined! Do kind of miss it (a little) but a road trip to Alaska was nice!

Lucky you. I've got an ice storm. It took almost 20 min to chip the ice off my windshield to come to work. Unfortunately I had allotted 5 min to clear the windshield. So... :(

Any of you Orlando SGTers want to bottle some of your 80 deg weather? I'm willing to trade for bottled ice storm.

But that doesn't help keep the ice off my windshield and off the road surfaces.

It would take a LOT less than that. I drink alcohol so infrequently (Last was over two years ago) that I suspect it wouldn't take more than a double shot to put me out cold on the floor. Heck I sometimes feel strange after taking an extra strength dose of cough syrup (with an alchohol base).

And I prefer Schnaaps to Rum. Current Favorite is Goldschlager. One double shot every 3-5 years is plenty.

This morning, I hung my microphone in 4887, knowing that this time I would not be taking it with me. I recorded a spiel, and it came out very, very well. I did a good performance, and had a great audience reaction. It was my last Signal 72, and my last opportunity to record a genuine schtick.

Then, after I got done, I was one of the last ones out of the Kingdom. At TTC, I parked, clocked out, and was walking to my car, where a deer was standing next to my car. I guess she liked my car, because as I walked closer, she squatted and peed right next to my car, right at the driver's door.

How often does one get to tell that story?

My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?
