Judging from the article, I think TDA management is lucky that the crowd stayed relatively positive. It could have gone wrong so fast and then what?
I can't believe DL was so woefully understaffed. (Actually I can, but it still floors me.) Management should have known better and hopefully this was a wake up call.
Oh if you search ocregister.com and go to the Around Disney blog, there's a picture of the Bubble Ladies in line to get in for the Leap Year event. It's in the slideshow for the event. (Sorry I don't have the link!)

No possible way! I was navigating Katella to Harbor abt 2130 which took me almost an hour. :( With your seniorty why would you even be working the 29th??? Took me 6 hrs.to go 13.5 miles. I was going to a club on Ball. Never, ever have I seen so many cars & not one APD around directing anything. Should have driven my Silverado in that mess. I never could get to the club. It sucked!!! Thus the HELL sign fit perfectly.

Sounds like Carmageddon moved to Orange County. ;)

I saw someone on twitter talking about how they got so drunk that night... no alcohol in the Magic Kingdom... how does that work?

Great title hobie. Spot on! I heard there were so many drinking in the park & doing drugs. Sounded as an absolute horror security wise. I was so glad my friend was off.

They were probably wasted before they entered. That's how it was at DL.

Ernie would have straightened everything out.

Perhaps hobie, perhaps. :) Those are kind words. He told DLS not call for any reason on his day off. Caller ID is a GOOD thing. ;)

I am glad I was off. Rancho Del Zocalo closed at midnight. I heard there were people drunk and on drugs in Tomorrowland from a lady that works Back of House as a chef at Village Haus.
