I thought all Disney these parks used military time?

Both can be used. CDS uses only the usual military time. I know my times. All that counts as far as I'm concerned.Shorty82 wrote:That must be a DLR thing, here at WDW we use 00:00 for Midnight, 01:00 for 1:00 am, etc.
I have a stratum 2 clock under my desk at school just for the heck of it.hobie16 wrote:And then there's WWV in Ft. Collins, CO and AT&Ts STRATUM level 1 clock in Hillsboro, MO.
Guess you wouldn't like the sign in our parking lot that tells us that the secondary exit gate is open until 24:30 would you? ;) Sorry, I'm used to seeing 24:XX on my breaksheets so often at night, guess I'll do everyone a favor and put it as 00:XX.GRUMPY PIRATE wrote:24:45?

I refuse to acknowledge times past 2400. I can accept 2400 because 04 Sep 2010 @ 2400 and 05 Sep 2010 @ 0000 represent the same instant in time. But I will not accept 2401, or even 24:00:01.Main Streeter wrote:2400 -2700 or even 2800 is very common on DL Lines, especially if there is an event. If I'm off @ 2400 (1200 am) we often say; "met me @ _____ 2430 or 2445. Ya gotta be a DL CM to get it. Very normal. :)
Here as well. The usage is getting phased out, as far as I can tell. It's mostly the older forms and things generated by older systems that still have the wonky times.Shorty82 wrote:That must be a DLR thing, here at WDW we use 00:00 for Midnight, 01:00 for 1:00 am, etc.
I don't like it either.Freak wrote:Guess you wouldn't like the sign in our parking lot that tells us that the secondary exit gate is open until 24:30 would you? ;) Sorry, I'm used to seeing 24:XX on my breaksheets so often at night, guess I'll do everyone a favor and put it as 00:XX.
TIME OUT....GRUMPY PIRATE wrote:24:00 IS 00:00, OR MIDNIGHT.
12:00 IS NOON
its obvious that the bean counters couldn't figure out that at midnight, its a new day when using the 24 hour time designation (some people refer to it as Military time)
having used that method since the 70's to tell time and also to sync various electronic gear and devices (zulu time) its funny to see it used incorectly.
its like somebody saying "meet me at 22:00 P.M."
I guess its too hard to figure out that 27:00 is 03:00?
I am surprised that you would use this, as if there was ever some sort of dispute about working hours etc., a good come back would be that the time 27:00 dosn't exist by the generally accepted practice of a 24 hour time standard.
meh
Freak, thought abt the Haster 2430 sign & this thread when I went in @ 1500. ;)Freak wrote:Guess you wouldn't like the sign in our parking lot that tells us that the secondary exit gate is open until 24:30 would you? ;)
Totally agree all fun begins after sun down.mapo wrote:MainStreeter, I agree. Working before 13:00 is way to freaking early to start my day. Plus, we all know the really cool stuff happens after the sun goes down LOL
