PatchOBlack wrote:Once again, you jump to the conclusion that, because Disney has replaced or re-themed a few attractions, they MUST be intending to remove all the old attractions in short order. No, that isn't a logical conclusion. Perhaps, after several years, even a few decades, many of the original attractions will be replaced or greatly changed, but that is far from certain. Your sarcasm is not welcome as well.
I jump to nothing, Look around tell me how many original attractions have been replaced or re-themed?
A LOT OF THEM
PatchOBlack wrote:Not agreeing with your conclusions does not mean I have no idea what has been going on.
No one said you have to agree. But it's obvious you have no ides what's going on.
PatchOBlack wrote:You seem to disparage it quite a bit, so it does seem you are insulting it.
Sorry, not my fault it's a lack-luster park
PatchOBlack wrote:We have already had some concrete evidence to the contrary. Yes, Walt did say mistakes were made at DL. That things could have been done better. However, that is not the same as saying that DL was, as a whole, a mistake, nor that said mistakes have not been corrected, at least in part.
And yet you have not shown this. Walt was VERY disappointed in DL. he IMMEDIATELY started plans for another park.
PatchOBlack wrote:Might we have an independent confirmation of this? Of course, even if it is true, it just means that Walt, being forward thinking, had decided that if DL worked out, that have two theme parks wasn't a bad idea.
Actually it was the other way around Walt saw the many, Many, MANY mistakes made with DL and decided it was best to fix them with another park.
PatchOBlack wrote:It isn't just a matter of how big or small a place is. It is a matter of how you use the space. I think DL makes good use of the area it has. Of course, one could look at WDW and say that it is too spread-out and sprawling. Since I have not been there, I will refrain from making such a judgment, of course.
Your right it's all in how you use the space. I love the feeling of walking into a small department store that is so packed full of stuff you can not even push a cart around. But they used every bit of open floor space to display their products.
PatchOBlack wrote:EDIT: In regards to you not being mad and not yelling: While you are not typing in all caps (signifying yelling), the way you are phrasing things does suggest that you are upset. To be more specific, you are upset that WDW does not remain the same, and you feel that any changes made are a bad thing. Are you entitled to your opinion? Sure. However, when you make that opinion public, you also invite comment regarding said opinion, including how the opinion was presented, and if there is a valid basis for the given opinion.
You can think what you want. but I an not mad or yelling. If I were you would know. I am just standing by my opinion, like it or not. This is a discussion board and I am discussing my views on this matter.

Thank God, 2 less that I have to listen to babble on and on about how anyone that thinks against the flow of the board is wrong and should be bashed.

Honestly, no one can take you seriously about your claims about Walt because you never cite or source the things that you have said about him.
The things you have said about Walt and this thoughts on Disneyland are not true, and I think that you know it.
For the last time, Walt's only regret about Disneyland was that he did not purchase enough land. He did love Disneyland.
And if you claim that Disneyland is such a supposed "mistake" then why is the park still open 55 years later?
I do not have to cite anything
DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH. Stop only reading, watching, listening to the "rainbows and lollipops" of Disney. Look into the real stories. From the people that were there when it all happened, and I don't mean those books and videos that are marketed by Disney. Expand your minds a little.
