Yep. I think you missed the sanity disclaimer in Dr McKey's sig.

Used electrons are a major ingredient of ozone, and of most mind-altering drugs.

No one will ever know what you guys went through that night and I'm sorry anyone would pretend to try to.
Though I am very sorry for the circumstances under which we met, Doc, I will always remember our conversation and rides on the monorail. It was an honor.
I won't forget you guys and I still hope that I can make up for that lunch we didn't get to have at a future date.
Please know that though we can't ever understand, (and that was one of the first things I remember saying to anyone I met down there last July) I (and I know I'm not alone) still really do care and please remember that offers of listening ears (at least mine) have no expiration date. Sometimes I forget and turn my cell off but you can always reach me by email first too to tell me to turn the blasted thing on.
You guys have my number, please don't hesitate to use it (and I think you have the landline too or BW does at least).
I hope your new position there helps move you further along that road to recovery even if it's a journey that will be long. You'll be in my thoughts.

Grab the neutral wire. It's the white one.

Geez, hobie is there anything you don't know?
I think you have to be a really handy guy to have around- sort of MacGuyver only cooler. Cooler and I doubt you have a mullet though if anyone could carry it off you probably could.
The Dude abides, indeed.

I do have a tendency to be able to fix stuff. It always surprises me when people are amazed that I've sleuthed something out that seems perfectly logical. My best one was when I was a third level support guy for Northern Telecom.
One day I was handed an airline ticket and told I was going to Anchorage. I asked what the problem was and was told the local telco would not discuss it and wanted someone on site NOW. Okey dokey.
It was a whole day flight. I got off the plane and was met by our account systems engineer. I ask him what was going on and he said he was sworn to secrecy. Okey dokey.
The end user of our system was the local gas company. When we arrived there were techs and managers from the local telco. They were all pissed and looking for Hobie blood.
The problem had to do with incoming calls on a specific trunk group. I printed out the current settings for the trunk group, gave them a quick scan, and said, "Let's reduce this timer by 125 ms."
I reset the timer and and ran some test calls. Everything worked. The techs were flabbergasted. The managers were flabbergasted. The account SE was flabbergasted. The customer was ecstatic.
I then said, "Ya know guys, we could have done this over the phone. It might have taken maybe 15 minutes to complete with the paperwork and all."
Lots of sputtering as they tried to explain why the fix took so long to the customer who watched while I worked my magic.
Cheap guys didn't ever offer to buy dinner.

And cats, and carpets, and potatoes too... anything that's not Helium or Hydrogen is made with used electrons.
