I too confess to being a Star Trek fan. I have a cheap TNG uniform shirt that I wore only once to MNSSHP. :-)

Maybe you had a poorly made one or something. I've had them a few times and every time it was like drinking an Otter Pop.

Wow, I thought everyone knew what Otter Pops were, you guys must have been deprived as kids. :p: Yes, it's pretty much a popsicle, but it's in a plastic tube and some always melts and is left in the plastic and you can drink that afterwards, I know I always do. That's what I thought of when I had a Warp Core Breach, but I could see how an Otter Pop might be too sweet for some, especially in a drink.

Wasn't orange called Injun Orange until they got politically correct? Then they changed the name to Jolly Ollie Orange. They even had a Chinese Cherry, pre-PC, which they changed to Choo-Choo Cherry. I think those were Otter Pops unless I'm thinking of some other sugary junk food for kids.

Well, he WAS describing a bad tasting liquid!!!

The frozen treat you describe were call "pop-ups" where I grew up. I remember that if it melted, you could always "drink" the liquid, but it WAS very sweet!

It wasn't Otter Pops. It was Funny Face Fruit Drink Mix. Funny Face was like Kool-Aid expect it was put out by Pillsbury. The drink was popular in the 1960's. Chinese Cherry was changed to Choo Choo Cherry and Injun Orange was changed to Jolly Olly Orange. It has pretty much disappeared from the market, but I think a small company still produces the drink mixes.
Funny Face was before my time,but as an advertising major,I love the character designs. Anyone have a Funny Face plastic drink set with the pitcher?
