Have you seen the Stanley movie? I didn't know he was a Hollywood star!

It dont like me and wont play. I'll try it again later when I have more patience.

Speaking of Hollywood..... There was a thread on "evil" board X asking for host for some flat that someones son was doing. Another poster said that when thier child did it they made 20 of copies and sent them out to people like the governer of the state, celebrities/sports figures, the White House, the Today show, etc. They just googled the addys and wound up getting back mugs, photos, and bunches of other things. (I think 8 of them were responded to) Their DD was very popular with all the neat stuff they got back.

Think we should do this with our little friends? Anyone willing to get the copies made?. ( I am out of ink till we get the tax rebate) I will take care of researching who to send them to(suggestion welcome) and take care of shipping if you get them to me. Just an idea, any comments?

Number one to send them to would be Ellen Degeneres. Can you imagine her with them? LMAO

MM and WW on the Ellen show? Too funny!!
I dunno, I'm not sure we should be sending them to politicians. They may have responded to previous flats because the senders were among the first to send them and the whole concept was pretty unique. But sending "mass mailings" of flats just to get stuff back seems kinda tacky. However, on the FlatStanley web site, there were pictures and videos of Stanleys flying with jet pilots, going into outer space with NASA astronauts, hobnobbing with Hollywood celebrities, so I guess anything goes. I'm going to see if I can get WW and MM on a ride with the Blue Angels. They do take VIPs and local news people up occasionally, and at least there's no chance of WW and MM having to use the barf bags (is there??). :D:

I wasnt thinking of doing it just to "get" stuff. It is a social/geography/etc. lesson. I would pick celebs that Meghyn likes , like Miley Cyrus, Ellen (she loves her talk show...go figure.. lol), Of course the White House is educational and what politician is gonna say no to good public relations and future voters :D: --educational yet again. Maybe some book authors that she enjoys or other musical artists she likes.
It is an idea and after the list is done on here, MM is going to continue to travel via other sites I belong to and other places as long as we can keep her going. The original WW will go home to BW at some point after our list.

I was back by the Main Street East coordinator desk earlier today when one of my managers pulled out a Flat Stanley. Apparently his daughter-in-law or someone like that got one sent to her and decided he should visit WDW. The manager was off today and was going to go out into the park to get some pictures of Stanley around the MK.

Around here, however, we don’t look backwards for very long.

We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things, because we're curious…
and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.

Dont give me any ideas...lol

Seriously, that's not a bad idea tho. Anyone want to make those copies for me?. I am very good at finding where and who to call for this kind of stuff..HEHEHE!

I just wish I could get a copy out to my DD in California by this Wed. Her friends band is filming a music video in a roller derby setting. How awesome would it be to have them taped to one of their helmets or something cool. LOL Tho I would have to make them a black t-shirt since that is what they are requiring their attendees to wear. Hey GP, wanna go be in a video?. LOL

Mini Meghyn recieved a very nice postcard from Susi decsribing their Easter Egg hunt and how she had to wear warm clothes because it was snowing that day. Ty Susi, the life size was excited to get the card.

I am behind on a bunch of stuff I want to do with her pertaining to the flats because of the bug up my landlords butt and having to deep clean by Tuesday. I am having a hard time finding a really BIG simple US map. I will probably just make one sometime next week after all this "inspection" crap is over and done with. OK rambling now. TY for the postcard Susi.

Mini Meghyn received a lovely postcard the other day from Susi's mom.

"Hi,
I'm ****** ***** and I live here i Grass Valley, California. This is the gold country. The Empire mine at one time ws the largest deepest gold mine in the state of Calif. Now it is a state park and I have been a volunteer at the park for 28 years. We do many school tours all year. Maybe you'll visit sometime.
Best Wishes,
Mrs. ***** ****** "

I will scan both postcards and put them up on the photobucket page in a bit.
