When I was referring to "safe" what I meant was that you have a feeling of "safety" in that its a place to go and have fun, and people will not be as judgemental, especially the PDA thing.February wrote:Pirate I can't speak to the same sex couple issue in your post but it's not a 'safety' thing with me- it's that I'm so happy at WDW- and so thankful to my DH for taking me there and pushing my sorry self around in the chair and all- that I just feel happy and grateful and that leads to the occasional spontaneous quick smooch. Sometimes, it's his idea! :D:
I also just think that the parks, especially at night with all the lights, are one of the most romantic places on Earth. I've seen several marriage proposals happen at different spots on property and I remember as a child standing by the water in the then Shopping Village and looking at the lights twinkling in the trees and thinking that when I grew up I wanted to go there with my sweetheart and kiss him there.
I remember thinking that at the age of five or six! I told you- hopeless romantic.![]()
DW and I almost always hold hands, (so we don't get "lost" in the crowd")
I know what you mean about that "romantic" stuff. DW and I became engaged AT Disneyland! And we got married AT the Polynesian resort on the point. (before they had the wedding pavillion thing going) (Thats why we go back there, when we can, for our anniversary!)
