Conversely, I once tipped way high to make up for a table of jerks. It wasn't at WDW, but rather at a place called Lawry's The Prime Rib in Chicago (a very nice, rather pricey place that is one of my all-time favorite restaurants). At the table across from us were a pack of drunken jerks who were being downright rude to the server. Their initial abuse was because they could not get steak (duh, a$$wad, "Prime Rib" is in the name, the menu is outside the door, and this is what it is famous for). They were so abusive that I really think the manager should have kicked them out. Then, when they decided that she was not responding quickly enough, they started literally yelling "Miss Smith (or whatever her name was), you tip is going down, down down!" I doubt they left anything, and we felt so sorry for her that we tipped her quite a bit extra out of pity that she has to deal withy jerks like that.
At DLP's Planet Hollywood, they have rather hot waitresses. The table next to us had 4 young guys, can't remember if they were UK or Netherlands, but anyway, they started flirting with the waitress, while getting drunk, and in the end, when she didn't react on the flirting, they started to really harrass her and throwing things on the floor, stating it was her, asking for a manager to complain about waitress, etc.
Manager handles situation, gets them out, afterwards, I go to manager to give him the real story. I felt so sorry for the girl.

(many food servers passed our table). the kids were getting antsy, and so was i. he finally said let's leave. i said let me find a manager. he said no, let's just to go Friday's. we got up, and i said go to the car i'm finding a manager. calmly i explained to mgr and mgr said i'll get someone over, i expl hubby left w/kids and doesn't want to stay.. we ended up getting four free meal tickets for our next visit. thank you for keeping us as customers.
so i don't mind waiting, as long as the server acknowledges us anddoesn't ignore.
Something like this happened to us, also at DLP, at Blue Lagoon, the restaurant inside POTC. We had made reservations, checked in on time, and when they came to assign our table, we passed many nice tables with a nice view on the ride, but no we keep on continuing to a table in the back with not too many around. Table was halfway on stairs (I was scared to move my chair and fall off the steps), candle not lit (since this is a dark restaurant, the candle is necessary), cutlery on table not complete.
We weren't too happy to be seated there, but oh well.
Time flies,a nd 20 minutes later, we're still sitting there, no one checking on us or taking our order. I was tired, hot (like in warm and sweaty after running through a crowded theme park all day) and hungry, so I got up, took my bags, barked to my mom to follow me (sorry mom, but I was hungry and angry by then) and stormed out. I can tell you I was not too nice to the hostess about it. She was

because she had assigned us another table, but the person showing us our table, decided to put us in a closed section. Hostess tried to make up for it, offering a waterside table, but we just want to another restaurant (it can even be the Planet Hollywood thing was from the same night).
