Re: Funny Radio Calls!!
One of my favorites from back when I was in rails.
MKStation: Central, MK
Cent: Central By
MKStation: Can you give me a location on monorail green?
Cent: Standby. Green Central. What is your 20
Green: MK parked
MK: Oh there it is?
You would have to know the CM who did it, but I have never laughed that hard in my life.

VISA. It's everywhere you want to be, and a lot of places you don't.

Re: Funny Radio Calls!!
Not on a radio, but over the intercom where I used to work. It was pretty busy and I got tongue-tied calling in a piece of equipment being returned. "We have a hybraulic dick cutter coming in". All of a sudden I hear,"WHAT?". (me again), "Sorry,we have a hydraulic brick cutter coming in".
Beer....The reason I get up every,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,afternoon.

Here's a recent one.
CENTRAL: "Central from central, central bye, central you are cleared to deenergize your station, 10-4 clear to deenergize my station. Central, be advised, the beam is deenergized and my station is 10-7. 10-4, central copies."
Me: "Ha."
Central was making fun of our new politically correct radio chatter.

I hate that ring tone, and when I'm assigned a radio, I make sure that it's set to *not* use that. :p:Sarah Magdalene wrote:There are many little sounds it can make to alert the person being called, from bleeps to beeps, and most amusingly, a female voice saying - and I quote, "Blah, Blah-Blah, Blah!"

Blech! I hate the "Blah Blah" beep- so annoying!Sarah Magdalene wrote:Any WDW Entertainment person is at least familiar with the radios used to call captains, base, managers, etc. There are many little sounds it can make to alert the person being called, from bleeps to beeps, and most amusingly, a female voice saying - and I quote, "Blah, Blah-Blah, Blah!" (go figure)
We had a bit of greenhorn on her first day as attendant when she was summoned with the familiar (to the rest of us) "Blah-Blah" call. She looked at her radio puzzled, hit the speak button and proceded to blah blah back into the radio. Again it rang with the "Blah, Blah-Blah, Blah" and again, she responded with a comical "blah" telling off of whoever was doing this nutty practical joke. Finally, one of us decided to be nice and explained to her that the blahs she heard were really radio ring tones and that she blah blah blah-ed everyone who held a radio in the entertainment department.
And I'm sorry, but that story is so funny! I feel bad for her of course. But it is really funny.

I will be your guide for this magical journey into the movies. It's the perfect job for me, because I love movies! Is everybody ready? Great, because it's showtime. Ready when you are, CB!

Re: Funny Radio Calls!!
I already posted this story in it's own thread, so go look for it in the DLR section if you want explanation. Nothing will ever top the radio call I had the Com make a few months ago:
Com: "All units be advised, security 1 and Delta 1 responding to Lost & Found for a 10-99; female Guest claiming to be Bob Iger is here to take back control of the company."

Re: Funny Radio Calls!!
I have heard some of the radio receivers getting stuck. It has happened at ODV.
I have heard that some cast member had an old radio. The receiver got stuck for 10 minutes.
5 minutes of talking to another cast member out in the field and 1 toilet flushing. I heard they had a hard time finding out who was the lucky camper.
