Official SGT ADD thread

A place to be entertained. Videos, jokes, games, and more.
Forum rules
At the old Disney Hyperion Studio, the screening room where animators would show animated scenes to Walt for his approval was small, with no ventilation or AC. Not only was it hot, but the animators were nervously awaiting Walt's reaction to their work. Thus, the room became known as the Sweatbox. Even after the Studio moved to Burbank and elegant screening rooms were offered to the staff, the moniker remained.

Now SGT has a sweatbox of our own. This is the place to find and post all entertaining topics such as video links, jokes, games, and the like. A general rule of thumb is that if the thread is meant to be informative (interesting news stories for example), or a topic for discussion (like setting up a park meet) then it should go in the Break Room, but if the intent is to entertain the masses then it's home is The Sweatbox. I'm sure there will be grey areas at times, so if you have doubt as to where a new thread should go, just use your best judgement and the SGT Staff will be glad to move it later if you guessed wrong.

I just saw a deer. I was on campus just now and I saw a deer disappear into the trees by the road. I knew there was deer in the area but I've never seen one on campus anywhere. I'm kind of surprised where the deer was as this area wasn't far from a developed part of the campus. I only saw it through the edge of my headlights as I went by but it looked like a good sized buck (to my non-hunter eyes).

There's a lot of wildlife on the campus as a good bit of it is a nature reserve. Raccoons and opossums are seen a lot at night and I've heard of foxes being spotted but deer aren't seen that often.

Just got it back today. I'm glad too as I was going through withdrawal, both Internet and SGT withdrawal. I'll catch up with posts later, I'm still working on setting the system up.

I've seen foxes down here. Never saw a live one before I moved to Florida.

I have one guy who sends those e-mails around with a Snopes link at the end so you know just how serious it is (or isn't). It's great. Don't even have to do the work yourself. That, added to the fact that the e-mails I get from him are actually entertaining...

Well at least he inclueds the Snopes site. I could spend hours there reading the stuff, they even have a pretty good one on Disney!

They also take in stories, and confirm/deny from various sources!!

Unfortunitally, some of my more "less bright" co-workers forwrd the messages without thinking. Last year, one of the "dying child wants e-mails" stories jammed up the system until we had to call IT and shut down. Several people came very close to being fired, as well as having to go through the :electronic security training" course again, a real snoozfest!
