My neighbor was diving yesterday and had this guy swim up to his camera. He apparently liked what he saw as he wouldn't stop looking at the lens.

On my first open water dive as a certified diver (my last "test" dive was about 25 minutes before), I had a school of fish staring at my mask, then they started to bite at it. No amount of bubble blowing or hand waving scared them away. I wish I knew what they were, it was amusing!

This was taken on the Na Pali coast of Kauai by a local resident. I know guys that would try to surf it.

We're number 1!!

Hawaii Has The Most Drunk Drivers On The Road

"In Hawaii, there were 995 drunk driving episodes yearly per 1,000 people — that means almost one incident for every person in the state." I need to get out more often.

We take the scooters on the backroads between the house and the resort. Plus, being old guys, we're usually back home before the amateurs come out to play.

Now we're under a tsunami watch. I live 200 feet up from the beach so we'll probably find some tourists sleeping on the lawn tomorrow morning.
