I see where Julio is supposed to completely pass Hawaii, heading northward, where it should hit some cold water courtesy of Alaska and die a quiet death.

Nice pics! Snorkel or scuba? Or did you just stick a camera under water?

Snorkel. I hadn't been out for quite a while and decided to take the camera I use for junior sailing. I'm glad I did.

Cool! We're planning a trip next summer. I just got my open water certification, so I'm looking forward to getting in a couple dives.

We're expecting some big waves later in the week generated by the hurricane working its way up the West Coast. This preview from Malibu my indicate what we're in for.

Dana Point, San Clemente were hit very hard yesterday by huge waves moving up SoCal coast. Seal Beach
beach front homes were flooded. More flooding is expected. There were over 500 watching in San Clemente as surfers tried to catch, hang on, and ride "The Big Ones." The sky was beautiful in San Clemente as the huge waves crashed with unforgiving force.
E R Ts from all over South County converged on San Clemente and Dana Point the entire day. Some are camping at each place tonight.

Great pics Hobie !!
Sorry to hear there was flooding.
Currently at DL and we leave Sunday morning for a Pacific Coast Highway trip headed north.
Hopefully we can still see some big waves in a few days.
